Depends what he’s willing to play for. His contract has been terminated, any club that takes him on doesn’t have to pay a mil for him. If he wants to win a premiership and he wants to return to SE Qld the Broncs would have to be his first choice. Pie and a coke seems fair, he owes us after 2015.

The only kind of contract I could see us affording is one that's around 300k-400k but that's well below market value and the NRL won't allow us to do that.

They're not going to let a club sign a halfback that was on 1 mil+ a year for peanuts, especially when that player is still an Origin and International player. Clubs will still need to pay close to market value.

A long standing rep player won't uproot his family and travel 1000 kms for a pie. He'll probably be looking for something in the 750K range. I'm tipping a Dolphin jersey for the next couple years.
