Plus he aint coming here to win a premiership. We wont be winning shite next year.

Makes matters worse the random poster was talking about Redcliffe… sums up the broncos I think. You know your club is fucked when it’s hard to believe your R&R team had a big day. I think the only big day they are having anytime soon is next Tuesday at the Melbourne cup do.

lol pretty much, TBF the The bloke was getting quizzed on hunt this arvo. Was supposed to be a pretty chilled day first thing in the morning. Just throwing in what I heard to the rumours.

What happens in that case then, he gave up a million dollars for an early retirement? He’s whole point was to get back to Qld. He’s gonna have to sign for considerably less.

I think I remember it happening with Folau to the eels and Folau just couldn’t sign? If no Qld team can get close to his price tag then is that just it for him?

That being said I’m sure he’s got somewhere lined up already.

Wightons was back ended tho right? Played for 700 this year 750 next year 900 and 950 the years after,guess back ended contracts are back on the menu pay him cheap the first year and a golden handshake the year after.

Munster took $250k below his market value (set by Dolphins 1.5m offer), and Wighton took $300k below his market value (set by Raiders $1.1m offer). I’m not sure if the NRL set different market values for them.

If the NRL sets Hunt’s market value as something like $700k, can we then undercut that significantly like Melbourne and Souths could with the above?

I would think most if not all trading is done when and where required and certainly before 1 Nov. It’s just announced after that date.
Hardest part of all is to stop the leaks and keep the media from carrying on with their bullshit.

maybe there's just the finer details to sort and that's why, there's no real risk of him signing elsewhere?

if he's back at pre-season early it doesn't smell of someone dissatisfied and looking to go elsewhere

But I mean training is training isn’t it, just because he wants to be at his best doesn’t mean he isn’t going to use that fitness elsewhere. It’s not like the others are back and he is running plays with them.

If he has agreed to terms there is no reason not to announce, there isn’t a cooldown period if re-signing. If they think they are clever holding off the announcement, they aren’t.
