That's not true, they do the value based on contracts, no one has lodged a contract.

His salary for 2025 was going to be 950k, that's what they're determining his market value to be. They are yet to decide whether that will remain but as it stands, that's what clubs will have to get close to.

I think anyone hoping the NRL are going to go from 950k to half that are living in delulu land. Maybe around 700k but that's still more than we can afford.

I like the clubs stance on Cobbo. A supremely talented player who has been paid over the odds the last few years. He’s just not professional enough at this stage to command another big deal. We’re calling his bluff. No doubt we’ve made a decent offer but not the big $$ he’s been on now.

Yep. How often do these talented roughshots turn things around in the NRL? Almost never imo.

I must be getting old but it doesn't seem very long ago that he and all his brothers were gonna be the future of the Knights, and that seemed to last about 3 weeks.
