His salary for 2025 was going to be 950k, that's what his market value is for 2025. The NRL are yet to decide whether that will remain, but as it stands that's his value and that's what clubs have to get close to at the very least.

I think anyone hoping the NRL are going to go from 950k to half that are living in delulu land. Maybe around 700k but that's still more than we can afford.

He’s still a bloody good footballer but he’s not fulfilling his talents for a variety of reasons.

Selwyn always wanted to play for Broncos as he showed by writing it on his school blackboard in Cherbourg. Trouble being there was no Wayne Bennett here when he arrived.
He openly stated, rightly or wrongly, what he thought of Kevin Walters coaching ability and things went pear shaped towards the end of his tenure.
I believe he has the ability to pull himself into gear under the right coach in the right circumstances.
No reason why that can’t happen here with us next year if he and Madge are prepared to give it a go. Money of course may not allow that to happen.

My gut feeling is Tommy might just be happier being back closer to family and he might just go and play cup. He's got some decent offers but doesnt want to move to Sydney or Melbourne.

I don’t think he had time off in 2023, Kev just rested him after origin games which is a completely fair reason. I could be wrong but pretty sure in 2023 he was never rested unless it was origin

A reason more than an excuse. As I said '”as long as he and Madge are prepared to give it a go”.
From what I read he won’t last 10mins with Madge as coach if he doesn’t change his ways. I am more than happy for anyone in the team to be fucked off if they aren’t prepared to put in next season.

He didn't have any time off. He had a hip pointer injury and he missed one game which was the Cronulla game after Origin.

He had time off in '22, but that was his first full season in the NRL and he was still suffering from the effects of the concussion he got in Origin.
