Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2025

Patty is a gun leader but he needs to have a mentor.

We need a couple of guys who are the twilights of their careers to show all the others of how to be pro athletes. How to deal with the mental side of things.

Kobe given permission to negotiate with other clubs.

Club wants to keep him but he wants to be a starter. They won't release him unless they get a suitable replacement.

We’re too big and slow in the forward pack so we’re letting our smallest middle who can actually defend well go. The big props don’t work in this 6 again error.

Going to be an unpopular opinion but I've got concerns about loosing guys like Kobe and keeping Te Kura for this reason.

Big rumours swirling in Sydney he will be a straight swap with the redheaded lunatic from Canberra.

We aren't too big though. Either our middles and/or our back 5 need to make yardage. Kobe would be great if we had both those things but we have replaced 2 big middles who are metre makers with 1 spud (baker) and a smallish middle, a tough yardage capable 2nd rower (capewell) with 1 who hasn't taken a tough run all year, and a hard yardage srap for every metre fit centre with a rookie who is a highlights reel player only with a small frame.

Add to that Oates hasn't earned back his spot which would help with metres, missing cobbos metres from the wing, our errors continuing, and our depth being shit and injuries meaning teams could just isolate haas and carrigan.

Small middles (who can't play 2nd row or centre) is EXACTLY what we don't need

We’re not adapting. We’ve got very if props in Haas, Willson TeKura. Chuck Carrigan at lock and we’re big and slow. It’s why we get cut to shreds in defence so much.

I love Kobe’s playing style but he is dreaming if he thinks he’s a starting middle, especially after the season he just had.

Good luck to him though

Yep Te Kura will bloom into an international standard outside back any day now . LOL .
In all seriousness. I watched the game live on the weekend, Te Kura looks too big and immobile. Not sure if he's just underdone because of his injury this year. Boy we looked way too big as a whole in the middle on the weekend. Wilison is a big body but definitely moves better laterally. Im not particular hopeful in what Te Kura will be adding to our team in its current iteration. .we need more aggression and mobilty in the middle.

What about Adam Elliot to replace Kobe? I don’t mind Shaun Lane either but he has been off the boil this year!

Why did you have to share that rumor?

Now it means we definitely won't be getting Horsburgh. You could have kept the hope alive a little bit longer.
