Raiders need a halfback with Fogarty gone... otherwise they're relying on a 20yr old rookie in Sanders.

If they don't land a halfback I'd have them potentially missing the 8 or at least dropping to the bottom half of the 8. Fogarty saved a lot of sets with his massive boot.

If they do sign Pezet and I'm Parra seeing Sanders not looking like he'll get a run then I'm getting into his agent's ear... I think he was a parra junior originally.

I think raiders will eventually move Strange to centres, but I think Sanders is more a halfback than a 6, and Pezet is definitely more a halfback than a 6, so the balance just looks a bit off

I think Raiders would be insane to move Strange anywhere, he is arguably their best player this year.

If that happens I would go after Sanders and have him And Black fight it out for the future 7.
 
Pezet makes perfect sense for the Raiders IMO.

Was just on Reddit and saw there's an article about players off contract for 2026

For the cows they had the below regarding Jibasaki.

The parties have held talks with 20-year-old Jamal hoping to follow in the footsteps of Gehamat who rose from a train-and-trial player to a representative premiership winner. Would be very happy to get him in town on a T&T... house him with his brother and if he can get his fitness up then we might have ourselves a hybrid middle/edge that was hyped coming through.

I know this sounds cooked but hear me out..... David klemmer.....

He was actually not bad for the dragons and knights but they kept using him for 40-60 mins at starting prop every week. He's tough, experienced, played at the top level, aggressive.

Im not suggesting he starts for us, or even an automatic top 17, but if we say to him "come here on the cheap, you could get a premiership to finish your career, you have to work to get in and stay in the top 17, but you lead the young hopefuls and show them what it takes to reach the top together with payne and patty"....

Then you ask for 20-30 mins with pure aggression and high workmate after his toughest preseason ever...
 
Looks like Ryley Price is on the lookout as well.

I think he was pretty highly rated coming through, but it might've just been his last name.

From the limited time that I've seen him he looks a straight up and down workhorse middle... kind of like a Lindsay Smith / Eisenhuth / Welch style middle.

If he's going to be that type of player then he'd want to have a bit of ballplaying about him otherwise he could be out of the league.

Could be worth bringing him into town on a T&T as well.. originally Nth Qld, but if they aren't interested in him, then bringing him back to Qld might be something he's interested in.

Not for it, not against it. Just think he will probably milk the cash to wind down his career. Has had the opportunity his whole career to go to a good club but keeps signing with the shit teams offering the money.

I think the game is moving away from the Klemmers of the world.

Could head to Super League, but good chance a team picks him up in Sydney as well.

Dogs could look to sign him on a cheap deal with them needing more size and more options... he's former dogs player and I don't think he wanted to leave, but Dessie salary cap forced the hand

I agree the game has moved past klemmer big time. But I also think the game has moved past him as a 40+ min player. If he only has 1 20-30 min stint i think he'd be awesome. He plays 50+ nearly every week still, hes shit when hes fatigued yet hes on Teams where him as a fatigued player is still better than the terrible depth dragons and knights have had.

Yeah I could see that being a great role for him, but I think he'll be asking for a bit too much money to warrant 20-30mins stints.

I don't think we need to be signing blokes like Klemmer anymore to lead the young blokes.
Patty, Payne, Jensen and Willison are all premiership winning forwards now and their the guys you want the young blokes to follow.
The guys we should be looking at are ones like Talty who just need to be given that chance. They come a lot cheaper and they've got everything to gain.
 
Klemmer would be ideal for Melbourne. I am surprised no one has picked him
