OFFICIAL Broncos sign Corey Jensen

HUGE SIGNING!!!

This is exactly the kind of signing the fans have been waiting for after freeing up all these funds 🙄🙄🙄

We should have at least freed up the following funds for 2022 (values are a rough approximation only based on an average of various sources)

- Milford ($950,000)
- Part of Bird’s ($300,000-400,000)
- Part of Lodge’s ($300,000-400,000)
- Part of McCullough’s ($200,000-300,000)
- TPJ ($650,000)

So now we should have had in the vicinity of say around $2.4-$2.7 million freed up. So far in terms of marquee players who would take up significant cap space we have Reynolds ($700,000) and Capewell ($500,000-$600,000). Brenko Lee, Jordan Pereira and Corey Jensen should not be on significantly more than base players in their positions currently in our squad. Also Staggs and Piakura will be on an upgraded deal next year. Taking in consideration all of this there should still significant cap space to fill.

So I hope when they say the cheque book is closed for now means they are now just playing the waiting game to strike for another marquee spine player. Because I’m sick of this narrative that is still being pushed that our cap is still a mess when we have just gotten rid of the values mentioned above. Whilst they have done some great things behind the scenes, it is still a failure if they do not land at least another marquee spine player (at 1 or 9) or at least another forward leader to assist Haas

solid signing, not costing us a bomb, was highly rated at one stage but hasn't kicked on. more upside than james.

Yeah I don’t get why people had a bit of a hard-on for James. Done nothing for a couple of years

If anyone wants to get a hard on, Jensen's pretty big😵

His numbers in the @Kimlo locked dungeon look decent too TBH.

Even if Kimlo realised how uninspiring the signing is and, for what appears to be the first time, provided some stats trying to sell it to everyone (himself included?) 🤣🤣

Look mate, call it a public service, or manufactured hype, either way you will get a Jensen next year and you will like it.

Come on guys, this IS a good signing, it makes our depth far better with ready to go squad players.

We also aren’t done, we are just waiting for the right players now and that is what we should be doing.

We wanted Melbourne Moneyball, well this is what it looks like!

We have to be the club that turns players that *might* kick on into the next stars

Agreed. It is good to have some cheap depth players with nrl experience. They will not set the world alight, but they can competently fill a gap when required.

Kennedy was signed as a more mature cheap depth player and he has provided a pretty good return on investment.

Says a bit about how far in the hole we are that of all our signings they are just stock standard first graders, you could say Reynolds is the exception but outside of that all the players coming to the club are blokes who have been toiling away in the NRL without ever setting things on fire
Thats precisely whats needed....
