Broncos stand down Andrew McCullough and Ben Hunt over off-field misbehaviour

THE Broncos have stood down first-choice NRL players Andrew McCullough and Ben Hunt for off-field misbehaviour.

The pair arrived at training today to be told by coach Anthony Griffin they would be playing in the Intrust Super (Queensland) Cup this weekend and not flying to Perth with the NRL squad for Friday night's clash with South Sydney.

Police charged McCullough and Hunt with public nuisance in the Brisbane CBD on Saturday night.

They had been drinking with team-mate Jack Reed at the Victory Hotel and were asked to leave.

McCullough and Hunt, both 21, then tried to go into the nearby Exchange Hotel.
