No, I doubt very much the Broncos' medical staff would let that happen. They would be negligent if they let Hunt play and he had a heart attack.

And don't say it's over dramatic, it's a very possible complication of physical exertion while suffering type A influenza.

I guess it would have been a surprise if no one else got it. They did all play together last Friday night, when Hunt was already showing symptoms.

This has the potential to really stuff us around for the next couple of weeks.

Just came from the club and the boys starting training around 3pm. Only a few of them there though and Clinton was t one of them so must be playing.
Heard on 4BC that Annersley said they must play and yet this morning in a press conference he said if Hunt was positive there would most likely be no game.
This is one hell of a wasted week. I wouldn't be blaming Bruno for putting all the guys into isolation as he was acting on what he was told to do. Qld Health only sent it back to the NRL this morning.
Reports on radio are the Broncs are filthy on having to play and who would blame them.

It was reported it can take up to 10days for signs of the flu to show up.

This afternoon it has been confirmed that Karmichael Hunt has tested positive to swine flu.

On Tuesday evening, both the Broncos NRL squad and the Broncos under 20's squad were placed into quarantine for 72 hours. Players from both these teams came into close contact with Karmichael on Monday so all precautionary measures were taken.

At this stage, the Broncos cannot officially confirm whether or not the game will be played at Suncorp Stadium tomorrow night.

By now you will have no doubt heard mixed messages from various media outlets. At this stage we ask that you ignore these reports as we will pass on the correct information, via Member Mail, as soon as we receive further advice from our Managing Director, Bruno Cullen.

We pass on our sincere apologies for the inconvenience this will have caused and we thank you very much for your understanding.

Would not be surprised to see a forfeit if other Broncos are unable to play, and reckon legal action might be being sort by the club.

Yes this is a farce but all parties are as much to blame as one another. Just another example however that Nine run the game and NRL, common sense should have prevailed and the game be moved a few days so no team is disadvantaged. Glad I won't be there in row 2, right next to the players, take that mask Mick !!!
