[eusa_clap.gi Well said, this is exactly what went down.Coxy said:Agree with Nashy and tryhard. Bruno's been hung out to dry by typical QLD Government incompetence. The Broncos were told to quarantine the players for 72 hours on Tuesday night, which took them to 10pm Friday night. Then QLD Health say yesterday "oh, that's just a guideline, give or take 5-10 hours". WTF?
Given what the Broncos were told, Bruno and the staff acted on the assumption the game couldn't go ahead on Friday and had already said to the NRL that they would want the game rescheduled, preferably to Sunday. If the NRL had come to the party on that on Tuesday when all this happened, it probably would've been able to happen. The NRL said "let's wait and see".
Then QLD Health backflip.
I can understand Bruno and the coaching staff saying they would be derelict in their duty of care to the players to make them play Friday night without any training and preparation. I'm also happy with Bruno's decision to let the players decide, thus avoiding a very nasty confrontation between the Broncos, Bulldogs, NRL and Channel 9.
Look I dislike Bruno as much as anybody, but he handled this situation as well as anyone could have. QLD Health on the other hand are a deadset joke.
What a douche, the smug look on that guy's face made me want to puke. He looked like the game was already theirs in the bag, and as though this is the best thing that could happen to them. so basically he was saying that them having a prop unable to train is the same thing as an entire squad being unable to train.
