Broncos v Bulldogs Build-up thread

I reckon we'll get smashed again. Be prepared to see Taylor drop from that list as well. Marsh will play, because Henjak will want his experience out there for when things get tough. But to be honest, I reckon the Bulldogs will walk right over us again. They're in good form, and we've come off a bye and a hiding. Plus all this swine flu, are they training, are they not crap ain't helping.

The bench needs more size that is whyTaylor or with luck Clinton can play and Henjak can forget the obsession with Wapau. Wapau is no good he looks like a sheep in a paddock full of cows when he plays ffs.

I realise Setu has been in some poor form but i think Henjak is using him and Thaiday in the wrong manner.

Both of them can be very damaging if they play wide on the edge of the ruck running off balls from Lockyer and Wallace. Instead though they're being made to do the dirty work.

Dropping Clinton will only make things harder and lessen the impact of our forwards out wide.

I think there is more than meets the eye with Clinton not there still. Going to miss him up front.

Palmer Wapau needs to spend a couple more weeks in Cup I reckon, make him work really hard to taste NRL again, Marsh should get the last bench spot I reckon.

How come Wallace has been quarantined as well, as he was in the NSW camp and had no contact with Ben Hannant.
eusa_think Didn't he tackle him? Weren't they on the same footy field? I'm sure they would have had a yarn after the game. Hello, mcfly.

So have all the other NSW players who played last Wednesday night also been quarantined? I'm pretty sure a few NSW players played in last night's Titans v Dragons game eusa_think

Also a couple of the NSW support staff have been diagnosed with Swine Flu as well. But anyway I heard on the radio today all the Qld and NSW players have now been put in quarantine.

Setu is just out of form, plain and simple. When Clinton gets back he should be dropped.

Anyone else think we'll probably get smashed again?
6 of our top players are in quarantine and will get a day and half of training with the team. Hopefully the day of training is enough.

I'm actually quietly confident. we usually play pretty well the week after getting smashed. I expect a big effort from the boys icon_thumbs_u

BULLDOGS TEAM

1. Luke Patten
2. Hazem El Masri
3. Josh Morris
4. Jamal Idris
5. Bryson Goodwin
6. Ben Roberts
7. Brett Kimmorley
8. Ben Hannant
9. Mick Ennis
10. Michael Hodgson
11. Greg Eastwood
12. Andrew Ryan (C)
13. David Stagg

14. Gary Warburton
15. Chris Armit
16. Yileen Gordon
17. Daniel Holdsworth.

Well I was confident until I found out our top 6 would only get a day to train, hopefully the boys play their best game of the season and make us proud.

I think 48- 4 will be enough motivation for the Broncos to turn it around next weekend. The Broncos will make a statement next weekend look out doggies..

+1 we will smash them.

That's going to stuff up a lot plans if it happens.

How does it work if it does happen? Surely we wouldn't be forced to forfeit a match because of something out of our control?

And surely both teams wouldn't have to go away with the 1 point. Would they write the match off, or play it another week, or what?

Nearly an all Broncos forward pack the Canterbury Broncos will run out Friday night.

I'd love to see this game called off as I'm out of town and can't make it, so a replay would suit me fine icon_thumbs_u

If the game is called off, they can play it when the teams have a bye BUT I just checked and the Dogs have had their 2 byes already.

I don't want 1 point each, that would feel so empty. Mid-week game maybe [icon_shru , although it'll be tough on the players.

Has it ever happened before? Not the swine flu, a game being called off.

Only time I can remember was a game between Knights and Souths in 1997. Terrible thunderstorm in Newcastle and it was deemed too dangerous to play. So they postponed it and played it later in the season.

Not sure if it was during a split round for Origin or what.

Fridays nights game may be off as there are reports Karmichael Hunt is the 2nd NRL player to have Swine Flu, if this is right whole Broncos squad would be in quarantine for 72 hours (3 days ) which would put them out until saturday.

would also explain why he was so utterly rubbish on friday night.

Be good for the team to get a rest tbh, and not get smashed by the canterbury broncos. [icon_shru
