Broncos v Bulldogs Build-up thread

The NRL would lose so much more than it would gain by postponing or cancelling this game.

Yeah but they've stopped our players from training etc, what a disruption. It's hardly fair to the Broncos???? That's my take on it anyway. The advantage is all with the Bulldogs who've only had 1 player in isolation.

Life's tough. We should get on with it. If the players are swine flu free then there are no excuses. Last friday was embarrassing and they should be desperate to play and atone for the previous week's efforts.

I suppose, and also Cyril's funeral is on Friday so that may fire them up to play, imagine that game last week was the last one Cyril saw them play [icon_non

How come Wallace has been quarantined as well, as he was in the NSW camp and had no contact with Ben Hannant.

Because he has had contact the the Broncos players who played for QLD.

See the question is if some of the players get the "normal" (ie much more dangerous) flu do the NRL quarantine the club? No. The club just quarantines the infected players.

It's ridiculous.

It's Not "the club" quarantining the players, it's the "qld health" and "the nrl".

I know. I'm saying normal club procedures for handling virus outbreaks would be fine. QLD Health and the NRL are being ridiculous.

The other thing is that 5 of the players have been tested already and cleared, so why do they need to go back into quarantine?

Because they've been around K and he might be testing positive? Dunno.

But they were around K before they all got put in quarantine the first time - sure they didn't quarantine them all together; so they wouldn't have been around him again since they were cleared - therefore no problem IMO

Just send out some our U20s! [icon_lol1.

I know it was a joke - but even that's not an option

"We're waiting on a further test from Karmichael to confirm or otherwise if he's got swine flu or not.

"If he has, our entire squad, that's the first grade and under-20 squads, will be put into 72-hour isolation and commence treatment with Tamiflu.

I know, it makes no sense, but none of this quarantining procedure makes any sense.

No other country is going on about swine flu, like we are.

Not to mention any other states. It's barely news in Victoria ffs!

i hear the mexicans are quite serious about it icon_thumbs_u

But I don't understand why all the broncos are being ordered into quarantine, if anyone else gets swine flu there entire workplace is not quarantined [icon_shru
