Broncos v Cowboys Trial - Live Score Updates

Who's doing the goal-kicking for us, Matt? Gagai or Norman I presume?

20 mins gone no updates. has the game gotten boring or has broncomatts battery gone flat ha ha

Corey Norman makes a break on half way and gets tackled 10m out. Quick hands from Hunt & Copley puts Nat Barnes in for a try in the corner. Norman nails the sideline conversion. Broncos 22-18 @ 3/4 Time

I'm liking the sound of Norman, he's been involved in pretty much everything Broncos attacking wise... What's your impression Matt?

Cullen throws a great ball from dummy half to hit Stephen Combe who crashes over to score. Broncos 28-18

Cowboys score in the off a good backline movement. The full time Siren sounds - Broncos win 28-22. I'll put up some more thoughts when I get home

From the looks of it, a lot of players had a crack at goal kicking.

For the Broncos there was Frei, Hunt & Norman.

For the Cowboys there was Foster and Fai Fai Loa.

Norman had some nice touches. Hunt looked sluggish. Gagai was a class above.
Beale was rubbish.

I liked what i read here about Norman getting involved :)

Beale didn't even play.

Overall that was as good a performance as you could expect for first hit-out of the year. Corey Norman was best on ground for mine. I don't want to put big tags on him like they always go, but his running and passing game tonight was Lockyer-like.

Hunt was pretty good too, kicking game in the first half was spot on. His last tackle options were a bit ordinary towards the end of the game. Still, solid performance.

McCullough only played first half but he was very good. Was good to have him there working with the halves.

Gagai looked good at fullback. All outside backs played well particularly Copley and Whitchurch.

Brendan Gibb was great in the first half. Made some big runs and tackled hard.

All in all no bad performers. And like I said, just what Hook would've wanted for first game of the year.

Norman has always been Lockyer-like IMO. I hope he gets first chance he looks the most likely to be special IMO.

I just hope if we give Norman a go the media will show him some leniency and don't tar him with feathers because he doesn't happen to be Darren Lockyer.

Seems like all it takes is one bad game and they start a campaign to ruin a young players career.

Thanks for the summary Jeba.
