Gagai was compared to Inglis when he was first spotted at schoolboy level I believe. That simply isn't allowed though.

It's been confirmed that Kahu has ruptured his ACL. Terrible news for the kid - really feel for him.

I know.

But why can't people just say he's got a good long distance kicking game or a good running game without saying without bringing Lockyer's name into the mix?

Because the questioning everyone's lips is "how will the Broncos replace Darren Lockyer?"

Besides, most people here didn't see the game. They wanted a summary, they wanted those there to paint them a picture. That's why I originally said in my game summary that parts of his game were "Lockyer-like". I didn't say he was as good, and obviously he isn't, and doubtful he ever will be, but the way he was operating was very similar. I think Hook would be trying to make sure that happens too, and it's not as if that's against Norman's natural game as he does look the running 5/8th that we need.

And I honestly appreciated the insight but I can see why people are generally annoyed with observations where such and such was great player esque. Generally it's lazy and rarely accurate.

Corey Norman is like, 15 years younger than Darren Lockyer. I don't get where this conspiracy theory about them being the same person has come from.

Hahahahahaahahahahahahahaha anyone that thinks a player is similar to another is lazy. Catch you all on the lounge tomorrow hey, work can get stuffed, the lawn can mow itself, if I wash the car it will just be dirty again the next day.

I'm not poo-pooing the comparisons because of Lockyer's record, I genuinely believe they are nothing alike in style. At the same age Lockyer relied on blistering speed and an ability to get on the outside of his opposite. Most of what he created was originated from one of these. Whilst as his speed decreased he begun to depend upon his passing, vision and exhaustive extra efforts. From what I've seen of Norman I wouldn't attribute him with any of those qualities. He seems a far more dynamic player who relies heavily on footwork. But hey, they both have booming left boots and play 6 so they must be similar.

Hunt and Johns? LOLZ - Just because they're both bottom heavy?

Norman showed good ability on Saturday night to get outside his opponent, and from this created a fair few line breaks.
