The 2 early penalties killed us IMO. Still we had a great season and should be proud of our boys. I am excited about what 2012 could bring.

Was all over in 10 minutes. #### went against us, and this young team couldn't bounce back from it. Largely because I thought the senior players failed to respond to it. Hodges, Thaiday and Parker didn't do enough IMO. Hodges just wanted to ball hog all night.

Wallace showed scant organisation.

Bit of a worry, but despite all that, we still clawed our way to be within 10 with 20 to go. Can't deny this team's character. Very proud of them.

Manly can DIAF.

We've been extremely unlucky since after 2006.

2007 - Huge injury toll, knocked out by cheaters
2008 - Knocked out by cheaters in a semi-dud ref display
2009 - Lost Wallace, knocked out by cheaters
2010 - Lost Lockyer
2011 - Lost Lockyer

Hopefully our luck turns around, because I honestly think we would have had at least 1 more premiership if it wasn't for that.

Yeah, I agree with this.

The refs raped is in the first half and without Locky there to steady them, the younguns were lost for a while there, and we couldn't come back from it despite being the better team in the second half.
Very disappointed in Thaiday, Hodges and Parker tbh, instead of being the steady rocks, they lost their composure and to compound it, each one of them gave away a cheap penalty to put us under even greater pressure. Parker's decision to quarrel with DCE instead of getting the f-out of Hala's way was beyond stupid!

Wallace couldn't get them organised, but at least his side of the field was regularly threatning. I hope this is the last time we put a second rower (no matter if he is a talent like Gillett) in the halves! :rolleyes:

I fu**ing hate Manly with a passion, but they merely took advantage of what was offered to them and DCE and Lyon had a monster game, so congratulations to a few of their fans, such as danny.

Still hope they get raped in the GF by the refs and whoever they play. I'll call it a very good refereeing display... :finger:

This. Anyone who hates Beale for that is stupid.

No regrets here about putting Gillett at 5/8th. I really doubt the result would've been any better had we put Norman or Hunt there. We needed our leader.

Overall very proud of the effort from the boys, but geez it's frustrating how your discipline and good defensive strategies that have worked well all year go out the window when you lose your leader (or anyone calling the shots as we saw in the corresponding game in 2009).
