Gagai will be a never was. So weak in defense it isn't funny. He will go to Union and suck at that as well.
He showed more on the wing than Beale and Copley. His defense is no worst than those two

I did toss up the idea of Beale at 5/8th next year but I think rather than trying to get him more involved, the priority would be to get Copley less involved. I don't like to be too harsh on our players but his performances over the last 2 weeks have been shockers. Dropped the sitter from Lockyer last week, a few costly mistakes tonight, IMO he looks like that player who is too good for QCup, but not NRL standard. A bit like Nick Parfitt.
So obvioulsy Hoffman back to fullback, Beale back to the wing and a toss up between Hunt and Norman.
At this stage I'd lean towards Hunt. He's had a good amount of first grade experience now and that will be priceless. I think he is ready to make the step up.
I think Gagai offers more than Copley at wing any day. He's 100x more dangerous with the ball but he's still going to be second choice so long as we have a fit backline.
guys can someone tell me - was the reffing that bad? i HATE to be one of those types to blame it. but it was disgusting wasn't it? i keep trying to tell myself its just my bias. i feel like the precedent was set before we even got a look in.
We were never going to come back from that when 10!!! of the 17 players on the paddock were in their first or second year of first grade. It was abysmal. It didn't cost us the game, but it gave them such a flying start it made our job all that much harder.
Doesn't take away the fact we were soundly outplayed, but one wonders whether we would've got into more of a rhythm if we'd had a fairer start. We'll never know.
Don't know why people are getting crook at Corey for? Thought he was head and shoulders above the rest, always took it forward and made mature decisions with the ball in hand.
Apart from the silly penalty, Thaiday was fine.
Hodges never got any quality ball.
I disagree though, I thought Parker and Thaiday did their best to inspire the troops. None of us would know what was said on the try line, or what the communication was like on field or what was said at half-time. What was very noticeable was the lack of structure, and that's a halves problem more than anything else.
