Broncos Vs. Manly - Match Thread

Yep, would be nice if we could have a thread for the TV broadcast. Maybe 2 seperate threads that can be merged later.
Maybe an admin can clarify the ruling on this.
I thought that match threads (specifically for Sunday games) went by tv time and my intention was for this thread to go by TV time but other posters starting posting live results.

Is there any ruling on how this should go because we also have a game next Sunday so it would be good not to have the same issue again.

Me too Ning, I enjoy discussing the match by "live" tv time because it's only a one hour delay and I would rather watch a game then listen on radio.

How good was it watching Locky drifting across the line and then gliding through untouched early in the first half. Took me back to the late 90's, great to watch.

Ning and tb'spw - I don't think there is a hard and fast rule on it.

I will convene a Special Admins Meeting and table it for discussion

Just a reminder to all - if you are going to post match/score updates before the game starts on the TV - please ensure you put the word SPOILERS in the subject thread.

Some people like to watch the game without knowing anything about the result or how it is going, so this is just a common courtesy for them to not come into the thread.

My mistake, I thought these threads were designed for live discussion.

Admins of the Round Table!

I reckon it could work, but there's usually one derro who would try and ruin it, hence it might be a bit hard to police.

Does anyone know what the situation is with Anderson he is still injured or not being picked?

I thought the same thing. Lockyer is starting to run the ball a bit more now and it's VERY dangerous. I like it.[/quote:1ktavunk]
Especially looking at the upcoming Qld game.

Sorry, couldn't let it pass...

Defense was really good today, and that laid the platform for Locky to work his magic. some thoughts:

Lockyer - I just love watching this champion make his critics eat their words, he does it all the time. Over the hill my ass :D

Hoffman - really glad we re-signed this kid he is really starting to look the goods in first grade and has a fantastic attitude. I think he is really good with his support play up the middle (maybe even better than K was).

Gillett - Great debut season from him, watch for him to play origin in the very near future. We need to lock him up asap, so glad he turned down a bigger offer from the Roosters to sign with us.

Thaiday - form forward of the comp so far IMO. he keeps going from strength to strength and has become the leader that this pack needed.

Folau - I really hope the likely dropping fro QLD doesn't affect his form, an important player for us for the remainder of 2010.

We have plenty of young guys in our side and the start to the season we had is only a benefit to these young guys. it shows them that playing NRL every week is hard work.

The only win of our 4 game winning streak that came from a team outside the top 4 was against the Sharks (the Storm would have been in the top 4 if not for them being cheating scum), and i really think that shows that we are real premiership contenders)

Great game today boys ... great effort. Isn't it great to have a positive differential again :D

Cant think of a more pleasurable win this year. We played shit hot! The ability to grind out the win but with genuine game breakers across the park. Drooling of the thought of slipping Hodges back in there soon :D

Yeah I suggested this a couple of years back, I reckon it would be ace!

I enjoy discussing the match when it's on the telly, so if we could have a thread for it even if it's delayed, that'd be grand. Surely no one would ruin it by posting live scores and that.

PLEASE consider it Flutterby. [icon_wink

The Reason i stay away from facebook and this site on a sunday arvo.

Come on Channel 9 make it live!

A great tough, gritty win today against one of the toughest forward packs in the competition. The scrambling defence was again top notch.

Hoffman's really starting to develop his support play and build a combination with the forwards and Locky. Credit to Parker as well for another highly involved yet unnoticed effort - he made 39 tackles and 25 runs for 202 metres.

One criticism is McCullough's service from dummy half. It's so bloody slow! We looked a lot better with Hunt there. He needs to pick up his game but I have faith in him and with Hunt on the bench it's not too much of an issue at the moment.

I didn't realise that Parker made so many meters ... awesome effort icon_thumbs_u

One thing i want to add to my analysis is that i think Ben Hunts future in the NRL may very well be at hooker.

I agree with Hunt as hooker, he seems to be a natural for the role.

I think he is still injured although he isn't on the injured list or in any Q Cup squad which is the same as Denan Kemp, the Courier Mail has always struggled keeping up with disabled list.

Karmicheal Hunt jumps ship, in comes Josh Hoffman. Dave Taylor switches teams, enter Matt Gillett. Izzy jumps codes, here comes ?????? Aaron Whitchurch perhaps?
