Still in 10th spot with the bye points.
If we can win by a pretty margin and some results go our way we can potentially be 5th end of next round.
Thaiday and Lockyer if fit should definitely back up, every game is crucial and with such a close competition point differential is extremely important.

Sharks played alright against the eels. Hopefully it was just a one off

This is a real danger / letdown game for the Broncos ... Couple of guys coming off origin and the rest of the guys off a couple of games where they were really "up". Heading to Shark Park on a saturday night (?) is not the most awe inspiring proposition.

Hopefully the bye will have allowed the Broncos to take a collective breath and regain 100% focus. This will likley be a scrappy, frustrating grind of a game as the Sharks love to play it that way.

A really strong start is going to be important and the non-origin guys taking it upon themselves to carry the load.

Personally, I'd rest both Locky and Thaiday but have Folau back up against the Sharks.

Sounds alright in theory but what you don't realise is the message doing something like that sends to you opposition. Resting Lockyer and Thaiday would give the Sharks a tonne of motivation

Well the eels had an excuse, they were missing the most influential player of the decade.

You mean the player who even was there earlier this season against the Sharks who did sweet **** all when they also lost against the Sharks?

For those who missed it, my post was sarcasm aimed at the Daily Telecrap calling him the most influential player of the decade, I still lol over it.

Lockyer + Thaiday are required to play this game.
Because we are on the verge of not making the 8, and need all hands on deck to win as many games left this year, so we can sneak in the 8 undetected, and do some major damage!

Lockyer + Thaiday are our heart and soul, we need them.

And if we risk Locky and Thaiday and both get injured due to the fatigue and battering they copped from Wednesday that'll do far more long term damage to the Broncos' finals aspirations.

Yep, agreed. Lockyer and Thaiday need to rested for the sharks game. We've got the players to win without them.

They should only be rested if they are stuggling though. No good resting them if they are up to playing.

Might feel fine this Saturday, but then feel like crap all week leading into the Manly game, which IMO is more important for us to be competitive in.
