Broncos vs STORM LIVE SCORES SPOILERS REVEALED

For most of the time it looked like boys against men and our backs require a lot of improvement if they are going to compete against the likes of Melbourne, Parramatta or Manly. The loss of Hodges and Marsh was a telling blow and I believe that Parker would have made more of an impact plugging the gaps then Kenny. Lockyer should never have played, this was a game that we had little chance of winning and should most certainly been rested, there is no way he was even 70% fit. I fear he is doing more harm to his knee then good. Our forwards tried hard, but found it hard to compete against the bigger Melbourne pack. The Storm were also very effective from dummy half with just about everyone of their runs making good ground, when the Bronco backs tried it they were cut down by the markers.

Lockyer MUST take the next 3 weeks off IMO. He is taking huge unnecessary risks.

We have Newcastle away, Titans at home and Rabbitohs at home - All games are winnable for sure, no need to risk Lockyer.

Actually Rock, we we play the Titans away. (that was the match that ch9 had switched because it couldn't be played at the time they wanted it to  )

Reese Robinson needs to learn how to deal with high ball quickly. or i would drop him for some one who can defuse them.

I agree.

I think the only reason Lockyer played last night was because Hodges & Marsh were ruled out.

I agree with Rocky on almost every point.

It was an unlucky loss for us. We had a try disallowed due to a very flat forward pass (which would have made it 6-6). Then when we were heaping the pressure on, the ref didn't see a blatant offside (Storm player kicked the ball inot the post, bounced back, another player from offside didn't pick it up).

The Storm scored not long after, but our boys hung in there; if Hodges was in the centres it would have been a VERY different contest out wide. Not to mention a fit Lockyer.

As for Robinson, well, he is off and on, but in his defence he playing some good football at times and is no more inconsistent then Boyd was at this stage last season. Boyd has started to really impress me.

Now Shane Perry....um....when's PJ back?

Unfortunately the Melbourne forwards got on top early and never really gave up their control. We had odd burts where we made good metres but we never really dominated the ruck at all. I think bringing the ball out of our own area for about 80% of the first half took some energy out of us.

Boyd and Robinson will learn not to flirt with the touch line as much. Still it's pleasing to see Robinson backing himself. He just needs to make the correct decision when to chance his arm close to the line. With experience I'm confident he'll make the right decisions in the future.

I was a bit dissapointed with Wallace's performance. It was a great chance for him to press his claims for a blue jersey but he went missing when Lockyer was on the field. Still we had some unimpressive go forward and that stimied his chances.

Hodges absence really showed in defence. He would have been very handy. Anyway the one saving grace is about half of their tries came from kicks and those tries don't really count. **** me they give me the shits. Melbourne are morphing into the new Canterbury and Cronk is the new Sherwin.

IMO Locky should be given weeks off. His knee is just not right. Of course he's probably got some psychological doubts with it too. But I'm with Rocky on this one. One more ACL and that could be it for him. He should even consider making himself unavailable for representative football. I think we can win the next three games without him. He should take all the time he neds.

Don't know if its been mentioned, but Cam Smiths strip on...... Micheals?? should have been a penalty, 2 in the tackle. Doesn't matter if the other player fell off, there was 2 in the tackle.

New rule this year as far as i can remember, is that if someone falls off, its then considered a 1 man tackle.

For those saying we were unlucky, sure we played well whilst undermanned and could have kicked goals better and had one or two things go our way. But the Storm bombed 3 or 4 tries last night, sure we defended well but the storm could have put more on us with a few better last pass, kick and handling options.

Luck was against us really. Storm don't lose 3, and we were due for a loss.

Good game, shame about the terrible scoreline. Tops to the boys though.

That rule got the boot. Was legitimate, well done to Smith.

NRL match review committee chairman Greg McCallum has said players that play for penalties could be charged with bringing the game into disrepute following last year's diving fiasco involving Paul Gallen.

It means Michael Ennis could be charged under the code of conduct and may be required to face the judiciary.

This is a JOKE... if Ennis gets charged for the storms blatantly illegal tactics then we could end up with situations where players that are injured in illegal tackles, may get to there feet just to avoid being charged by the NRL. if a player is injured then they should be staying down to allow a trainer to make sure he is OK.

Reading about the tackle, I can't see Ennis being charged.

Unless Ennis is a great actor.

Storm prop Adam Blair faces a nervous wait after being placed on report for an ugly 53rd-minute tackle on Michael Ennis that left the Brisbane hooker screaming in pain.

"I didn't think there was much in it. I grabbed his arm and he was screaming . . . I don't know . . . these things happen."

Bennett said Ennis had "felt his shoulder dislocating".

Totally agree. What a tosspot. If Ennis is under scrutiny then Jamie Soward should have been charged for his massive dive against the Dragons last week.

Ennis was not injured, he felt someone grab his arm, and then aided him by pushing him arm backwards and began embarrassingly screaming like a school girl. Great acting, but not injured. I hate divers, and it pains me to see one in the broncos, at least hes not a qlder i guess. As someone pointed out in this thread, theres a hint he even winked at his teammates. We dont need that shit in the team

Yeah i went from being genuinely concerned because of his history with shoulder injuries to being completely disgusted, if this was a player from any other team you would all be calling for the divers head. He went from excruciating agony to smiling and fine in a split second. This is n different to Hayne from last year. I don't want him suspended but I honestly can have no complaints if he does.

The Chicken wing hold is the same one the cops give people when they are putting them in cuffs. They pull the arm behind the back and lift the wrist and arm up. It genuinely hurts so get off Ennis's case. WHy don;t you let a 120 kg bloke do it to you when your laying onyour stomach struggling and tell me if it hurts you butt monkey.

Beads I am sure the move could hurt when done. However Ennis wasn't hurt he was fine and screamed like he was having his arm torn off and then seconds later he was fine. Exactly the same as how everyone on here (including myself) crucified Hayne for a very similar incident (staying down in agony and suddenly seconds later jumping up and being fine). I am all for crafty players trying to do things on the borderline of the rules to gain advantages and I certainly don't endorse the "chickenwing" but this clearly didn't hurt Ennis and he made an embarrassment out of himself just like Hayne and just like Gallen.
