Kemp is our best winger, I agree with rna and beads. Yow Yeh has been average with Kemp on the sidelines though IMO he should come in for him.

Have we at any stage this season had all 3 wingers fit?
I think next week will be the first time all 3 are fit to play so it will be interesting to see who Ivan chooses although with the way we've played the last two weeks the side shouldn't be changed IMO.

Hence I quoted "potential". We need a fair bit of results to go our way.
My post was more to highlight that even with the terrible start we'd have we are still very much in the mix for finals footy and with the past two performances + Macca, Hodges and Kenny still to come we can challenge for the title with this attitude.

It is interesting all this talk re our winger, how I see it is that all 3 (Kemp, Yowie and Winters) have plenty of talent but all are either injured or carrying and playing with injuries so we are certainly not seeing the best of them. Get them 100% fit then see how we go out wide I reckon.

Tronc doesn't hit it up. He lumbers.

Said the same thing last night. He is the lumberer of the NRL.

Hard to find any faults with last night. Yow Yeh looked edgy early on but improved as the game went on. He looks suspect under the high ball and teams will pick up on that. Not surprisingly Wallace was rusty but that covering tackle on the eastern touchline was amazing. He will be much better for the run and should carve the Sharks up in a couple of weeks.

Standouts for mine were obviously Te'o (best defensive game from an NRL player this year) and Gillett (I want him to play for us for life). It seems that Setu has been told to just go out, play and enjoy himself. His footwork prior to scoring - brilliant.

Hard to believe that we are in a solid position with Origin just around the corner. I'll back us to beat Cronulla in Sydney and if that happens we will have collected the maximum 8 points (including the bye) from the last four weeks. Funny how things change from the doom and gloom of a couple of weeks ago to the positive vibes which are oozing out of the players.

Are we not a little disappointed about the crowd? I mean, Sydney attracted 37,000 last night and Brisbane only got an extra 2-3 thous in a one team city?

I thought it was a great crowd considering we were placed 13th before kick-off. I expected mid 30s so to go above the 40 mark was excellent.

Souths in a few weeks on a Sunday arvo (public holiday to follow) should be good fun!!!

Yeah every seat in the house gives you a pretty awesome view. You've gotta get yourself to an Origin at Suncorp as well one day. The atmosphere's electric.
