True but Spwn is half right, if results go our way we will be 8th next week. And then if results go sexy we can hit the 4.

Sharks Away
Eagles away
Rabbits at home

Hence I quoted "potential". We need a fair bit of results to go our way.
My post was more to highlight that even with the terrible start we'd have we are still very much in the mix for finals footy and with the past two performances + Macca, Hodges and Kenny still to come we can challenge for the title with this attitude.

Some comments from Cartwright.
"We came up against a much better footy side tonight, they were too good for us," said Titans coach John Cartwright.

"Inexperience cost us heavily with some stupid last passes.

"They (Broncos) showed last week (win over Melbourne) was no fluke."

Cartwright said the warning signs had been there for the Titans following a tough month of football in which they had won their last three games.

"(The wins) Masking the fact we were making similar errors," he said.

"We just haven't come across a side who has played as well as the Broncos."
Cartwright best summed up Brisbane's performance.

"They were tremendous tonight, they gave us nothing," he said.

Should do more than Sims did tonight.

I hope so. But if there is a Qcup option better then Sims and Kenny then bring him in

Great to see the performance from last week carry over to another win, and with the bye next week we are back to being well placed.

Standouts, as has already been said - Te'o, Thaiday, Folau, Lockyer, Wallace, Hoffman, Gillett, Glenn and Setu. In saying that nobody had a bad game for us, everyone did their job right across the board. Loving the support play Hoffman is offering, he really is the "traditional" fullback which is good to see. We haven't really had a "traditional" fullback since Julian O'Neill with Lockyer and Hunt being more playmaking fullbacks and it says good things about our halves when we don't need a playmaker in the #1 jersey.

One thing I will say though, Corey Parker is a good player and has been one of our best this season, but sometimes I get the feeling he is trying to do too much himself. The biggest indicator of this is when we created the 3 on 1 coming out of our own end in the second half, he threw the dummy and tried to go himself. Have a bit more faith in your team Corey!! Don't get me wrong though, he did a lot of good things out there tonight .

I'm pretty happy with our win tonight. We were offloading (which probably surprised the Titans), defending well (though we still slipped off some tackles), Locky and Wallace controlled the game and the boys actually looked like they wanted to be there and play. Henjak's bench choice was pretty good too, although he didn't really use Sims much, I think. eusa_think

The standouts for me were Thaiday, Te'o, Folau, Gillett, Setu, Hoffman, Wallace, Glenn and Locky.

Gillett...oh man, he can run, he can tackle, he can offload, he can kick and he can pass. Pretty sure, I am in love. [icon_drun

BTW Does anyone have an update on Yow Yeh's injury?

That is our best performance of the year. My only concern was our wingers. Both Yow yeh and winterstien looked shaky, they both seem to be lacking confidence. Yow Yeh has done nothing to secure that wing spot.

I think both are carrying injuries by the looks of things but they will only get better.

Not worried about Winterstien, I'm worried about Yow Yeh. So much speed and potential, he has showed little.

Both were very slow tonight though. I agree Yow Yeh seems a bit off but our best Winger has a rib injury and has not been at his best. icon_thumbs_u

He had an improved game tonight though. Did well in the first try to evade and throw a nice pass. The bomb at the start, yes very shaky, but backed it up early in the second half with a nice bomb take on his own line then a 15 metre dash, glimpses of what he showed last season.

Still WAY better than Kemp [icon_wink

Don't get the criticism of Sims, thought he had a really good game. I really liked our attitude tonight and the willingness to offload. It is something we've lacked over the last few seasons, so good to see it used to good effect tonight.

Just watching the replay, and Setu just scored his try.

Seriously, something has changed in this club over the last few weeks. Everyone out there on the field is enjoying themselves and playing for each other.

Just on Setu as well, I know his form can sometimes be very frustrating but if we persist with him he could be a damn good player. Remember he is only young, but it is obvious he has so much natural talent and he is worth keeping for next year.

Given his limited opportunities, Kemp's been great. Our best winger must be there.

And I agree with another poster. Competent though he is, I can't see Kenny adding anything given the way our current props are playing.

This team is finally taking shape and Henjak looks like his weird selection phase is over - thanks goodness.

Too many lame shoulder charges.

Better than Tronc's effort though. **** he's useless hitting it up.

And Yow Yeh is shit, bring back Kemp.

Everyone else, awesome!

Tronc doesn't hit it up. He lumbers.
