Broncos Youth Players and Young Guns coming through.

Palm Beach Currumbin, a High School on the Gold Coast, has more Titans contracted players than Broncos contracted players?

Wow, that's incredible. I can't possibly explain that one.

I wonder whether Wavell, a High School in Brisbane, has more Titans contracted players or Broncos contracted players. Maybe we're winning that arms race.

That’s true, though Wavell didn’t just win the state title 62 blot.

Over the last 10 years those figures would have been reversed in the Broncos favour.

I think that’s his point.

the team that wins the "talent arms race" in QLD from that particular school, really depends on how many of them go on to play NRL.

it's still entirely possible that despite having 5 players listed on the score sheet, the Titans could finish 3rd if Mariner and Forbes go onto to play NRL but the 5 Titans players don't

That’s probably down to the Titans actually making an effort for once.

If I were a Titans fan, to me there would be no acceptable reason why they haven’t had agreements with PBC and Keebra until the last year or two. If they really wanted it, they’d make it happen before now

Can anyone shed some light on Michael Roberts? (Think his name was) he's James Roberts younger brother apparently, seen an article about him coming off contract with the titans it said he's a 1/6 and has the speed of james.

He scored the winning try in the final v Marsden. Ran 90m and put his fend through the fullback’s chest like he was trying to grab his heart.

100% agree it’s their biggest error and oversight the amount of Coast players everywhere but at the Titans. Massive failure.

The Titans have started to correct that now. It’s the best thing they’ve ever done.

Thing is they'll have the same issue we had / have is that the vultures will come

Today was Mariner’s best game since Final against Wynnum, I know St.Brendan’s was terrible but he got three tries in the semi final against Wynnum then a try in the final against Townsville and three today in the State final.

He certainly provides in finals.

Can we just take a second to think of Minto. 62-0 in a final.

He looked shattered today.

Scarily the Titans have really really changed their focus and grabbed the best from Marsden and Ipswich SHS as well.

I wonder if under Donuts, we might adopt a more strategic model where we target fewer players but go for the cream of the crop as opposed to what we have always done and go for the biggest and fastest kids only.

the day we start acting like the Rorters is the day the NRL change the rules to make development worthwhile

This would be funnier if it wasn’t such an accurate foretelling of the future

Yep, lets hope so.
We have proven what has been happening in the last 6 or so years isnt working RE recruitment/retention.
That's okay, let them do the development and we'll pick up whoever looks most promising a few months before they're ready for first grade.
100%. Payback time coming right ahead.
Enter NRL to put some development cause in contracts ie if the club develops the junior they get x% of the contract off the cap.
Its laughable, but will prob happen, just to ensure we continually get screwed.
