I hope Lynn gets a crack soon as well, I think he's actually got more upside than Burns, but Burns was chosen because of his leadership qualities mixed with good form I think.
Good form, age and versatility got him the nod.

Plenty with talent around, Carters is backing up his really good year last year again. Cooper scores big for SA.
I am so excited.. Good luck Joe Burns. May this be the first of many test matches for you.
Marsh was hurt in the nets today.
I'd like to see him up the order, he has evolved past the number 6 and I don't think he's suited to it anymore.
Shame he hasn't scored more runs, but with Marsh out for Sydney he should at least get another gig. He will need runs though, because his two dismissals have been pretty ordinary.
I tend to agree. He should be able to make runs anywhere though. A shame he got himself out twice in his first test.
Brisbane Heat
James Hopes(c), Dan Christian, Ben Cutting, Ryan Duffield, Andrew Flintoff, Jason Floros, Peter Forrest, Cameron Gannon, Chris Lynn, Simon Milenko, Jimmy Pierson, Nathan Reardon, Dan Vettori.
Hobart Hurricanes

What are your thoughts on young Alistair McDermott? I don't believe he is injured but hasn't played for the Bulls or Heat all season. He seems pretty suited to the shorter forms of cricket and usually bowls well in the death which is something the Heat are lacking.
