Cam Smith & Melbourne's Wrestling/Grappling.

I have a feeling he'll get done for careless high tackle. 1 week, back for the gf.

He still has 93 carry over points though. With loading, any charge no matter how small would result in 2 weeks.

Grapple Tackle and a Chiken Wing in one tackle. No wonder the poor bastard had to go off.

How is that a chicken wing? lol. do u even know what a chicken wing is? its just smith just trying to roll thaiday over onto his back but all he had hold of was his arm. hes not trying to wrench it behind his back or anything, simply just holding his arm. ffs get over it

Those stills don't do it justice. In the footage he repeatedly pulls at his head. Goes in for more each time. Not to mention he's then twisted over backwards. What a joke this mob are.

And Queenslander, whether it is a "chicken wing" or not, J Smith is clearly trying to pull that arm up and backwards. See the pics I posted above.

I don't think there is loading if it's a different offence. Even if there was it's only 75 points for a careless high tackle with loading and discounts it will be only 1 week.

There's 50% loading for each similar offence in previous 2 years.
25% loading for each non-similar offence in previous 2 years.

Yeah but hes not attempting the chicken wing. its league, things like this happen, ppl get in awkward positions and it happens.

I like Smith and I don't think he's a dirty player but on the evidence presented so far it appears to be a grapple tackle. And with carry over points you think he'll be spending at least a week on the sideline.

J. Smith isn't putting a chicken wing on Thaiday. Its just trying to get him on his back. It's ridiculous that people keep making up names of holds and stuff just because it looks like it hurts. Toughen up.

Yeah I think Smith will get in trouble, but a lot of people (especially on here) are making a mountain out of a molehill. I htink it's a bit of sour grapes.

Nothing in Jeremy Smiths. Cam Smith had hold of Thaiday's head/neck and bent it backwards so far that his body folded underneath him. He should've been sent off, not Lima on the next indiscretion.

The reffing was attrocious and they were allowed to get away with too much, but ultimately the win was still in the Broncos hands and they lost it all on their own.

I promise you I'd be reacting the same way if we had won on Saturday night.

Not from me.

Every week I am complaining about the Storms dirty tactics.

You are kidding yourself. Tackles like that happen every single game without fail. If I were to freeze frame every single tackle in the NRL, there would be no games on because everyone would be suspended with grapple tackle charges! There is always contact around the neck to some degree, what you just posted is pretty common place.
