What you don't seem to be seeing is that it didn't matter how Barba played, Bennett was never going to not bring Boyd with him to play Fullback. Even if Barba won the Dally M this year we would still be pushing him out of fullback next year for Boyd.


We signed Barba for 3 years last year, so the other clubs that wanted/needed him went out and spent their money on someone else since Barba wasn't going to be available for another 3 years.

You seem to care a lot about the other clubs dude.

The problem Ben had is that he was exposed under the high ball. So if he continues, every team has a go to play . the Dumb Roost,which require little to no skill, for which they're like to get a result.

We don't need a back up fullback on that money when Kodi Nikorima is similar too Barba in attack and will do just fine.

Agreed completely. Plus we do have a back up in Greg Eden. Probably isn't a very good one but it's not a position you spend money on.

Not to mention I remember WB saying he thought Hodges goes well there. Plenty of fb options if Boyd gets hurt.

I hear Greg Eden showed some good form a few years ago too. Sounds like the perfect replacement for Barba then.

He got plenty of chances. Bennett said he wants to work with him but Barba obviously doesn't want to work hard for his spot. He can leave for all I care. If they don't want to play for the Broncos they can **** off. Same goes for the fans who don't want to cheer the jersey on.

Going off what has been brought out to us, Bennett has said he wants to work with him. Barba was there trying to procure a contract, not Bennett.

depends if he asked for a release or was told to look elsewhere.. given the other players we've told to go already you'd think he was nudged.

i didnt see anything at the back end of 2014 to suggest barba didnt want to play for the team. he was trying out there and the improvement was coming in the 6.

seemed pretty happy living up in bris back with his gf and kids.

Barba has repeatedly said he wants to stay, add that to the rumours of him being shopped around and it certainly doesn't appear to be Barbas decision.

Besides it doesnt matter how hard he works or how well he plays (or how shit Boyd plays) it would be impossible for him to get fullback or halves for that matter

The only stuff that has come out in the media is that he won't be getting the 1 or the 6 but bennett wasn't to use him as a 'weapon off the bench'.

Anything else is assumptions.

If Barba is on his hands and knees begging to stay like some of you are claiming, the blokes got a contract he could just say I'm staying
