According to Erin Molan, Oates may have torn his AC.

Matulino could be in trouble.

If it's a badly sprained or torn AC joint, he could be looking at anywhere from 4-12 weeks on the sideline.

Wayne didn't sound too concerned in the press conference, but I guess it's still very early

I've heard 3 different reports so far, Fox Sports said it was dislocated

It looked dislocated when he was coming off. The way his arm was just sort of hanging to the side.

Who am I going to bet on now?!?!?!

I think it jumped part way out. Gave everything a good stretch.

****, ruin my life

Bit extreme, no?

Give it a few days for scans etc, we'll have a better idea on Monday.

Kahu was a month and Reed was still weeks away too, yet they didn't let anyone down tonight. Not saying Oates will be the same, but it may not be as bad as feared.

Be positive, people!

**** Ben matulino
it was a fucking shoulder charge the fucking dog ****

I did my AC once. Hurts like you wouldn't believe, but it heals pretty fast. You can't really make it worse, so as long as Oates can handle the pain (and the professionals have needles for that kind of thing) he'll be back in a few weeks max I'd say.

And what's the bet he isn't even charged?
Isn't a shoulder charge still just a penalty in the run of play and becomes a charge if contact is made with the head. I'm not even sure they were shoulder charges. ..i didnt think the Warriors arms were locked against the side of their body which i think is one criteria used to determine a shoulder charge now.

Shoulder Charge
Is where a defender, without attempting to tackle, grab or hold the ball-carrier (or any opposing player) using the arms or hands, makes direct physical contact using the shoulder or the upper arm (tucked into the side).
It will be considered misconduct, if any player affects a tackle in the manner as defined.
The indicators will include:
1. Rotation of the defenders hips and shoulders
2. Defender has ‘tucked’ his arm into his body.

Laws of the Game: Shoulder Charge - NRL.com

Demerit Points:

Shoulder Charge; 200 350 500 650 800 (Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)

The Shoulder Charge carries more points than striking, lol.
