Nobody except Bellamy and Robinson have done anything in 9 years. We have enough money to be the benchmark. As much as Seibolds lack of coaching ability is a problem, the board needs to go first. We need a ruthless board like the other successful clubs. No more being nice and looking after people. The Broncos could make money with anyone running the show, they need to start focusing on the on-field shit because it’s turning away the hardcore fans quickly

If we can't afford $400k for croft, tell Offa to **** off and use that $500k. He's surplus.

Absolutely! I see nothing in Offa. Others such as Carrigan, Flegler, TPJ etc do better than him by far. If we paid 500k p/year to keep Offa here, that is fucking insane and such a waste of valuable dollars that should have been used to secure a half.

You know what we really should do? Go out and buy 6 of the best players in the game, win a few premierships being over the cap, lose a couple of those players but keep the best 3 players and build the team around them. If the premierships get taken off us, who cares? We can claim them anyway

The team gets run too much like a financial gain.
What benefit do the fans get from this? We don’t even get to flaunt our financial muscle anyway.

no he is not

Yep. As much as I hate the pricks, a team like the Roosters is all about premierships and success on the field. Their record over the past 5 or 6 years puts us to shame if we are being honest.

Oh but I forgot, we are more profitable off the field and sell more memberships thanks to Whitey and his incredible business nous. Woohoo.

Croft set to stay at Storm with Broncos deal in limbo

Brisbane and the Melbourne Storm are engaged in a standoff, with the Broncos' discussions with Brodie Croft coming to a grinding halt. NRL.com understands discussions between the Broncos and Storm reached a stalemate this week, with the No.7’s management indicating to Storm officials that he will see out his deal at Melbourne.
My takeaway from this is:

CONFIRMED

1. Broncos have gone to the market looking for a halfback.
2. They want Croft.
3. Storm will release Croft.
4. Currently at "walk away from the table" stage of negotiation (see Trump's Art of the Deal). Which is healthy.

PROBABLE

1. Broncos want to offload at least one player before wk1 (see McGuire 2019).
2. Storm don't want Croft so prefer to cash him in than pay 400k for nothing.

Zero tackle is a blog. It doesn’t have legitimate figures or writers

"NRL premiership winner Bird signed a four-year deal with the Brisbane Broncos worth around $4 million. "

Keep searching for his contract numbers and you’ll find a lot of different numbers being used by the same people. He’s not on a million

What's he on according to your cherry-picked source?

Anything from 600k to 1.7 million, or we could use fans as a source (that’s all zero tackle is) and say he’s on 2.8 billion a year?

So you have nothing. You're just being disagreeable. That's fine.

The conversation has been had and disproven 48 times. Don’t blame me because you haven’t seen it. He’s not on a million dollars

you know that is not an official list right? they take it from early media reports.

take Boyd for example ... it has since been reported that he would actually be on 450k for his 2021 option (if he is able to activate it) ... not the 800k that zero tackle have on their list.

now as for Bird, there was an initial tweet from a reporter when we signed him (i forget which one it was) stating that the contract was around 750k a season ... then all the media started reporting the figure of $1 million. however damn near every article you read about it that figure seems to change all the way from 800k right up to over a million.

apart from the inconsistencies in media reports the reason why he isn't on a million a year is because Milford apparently signed the first $1 million per year contract in our history ... and since he signed his contract after Bird signed his, Bord can't possibly be on a million a year
