This situation could go two ways at present.
If the club convinces Fifita to stay it will be a massive boost to the club, the fans but more importantly it will lift the spirits of his team mates to see him stay. The fact he will have knocked back a massive offer to stay will also be a major credibility factor for the club and help immensely in future negotiations with players. It will also make our administrators look like smooth talking miracle workers.
It may also stop the rumblings of players thinking they deserve more. Overall though, the feelgood factor could be just the tonic the boys need to change their current lack of confidence. As far as I'm concerned he deserves the captaincy when Lexy leaves if he does stay.
If he leaves however, the club will get over it, but it will be a long, long time before they ever return to the status of ' winning glamour club'.
