Well if the Broncos are stupid enough to let it drive his price up, then the club has clearly not learnt. Something tells me that once Donaghy takes over the reigns the ridiculous contracts that we have been handing out for the past 4 or 5yrs will not be happening any longer.
Look at the players that Melbourne have, and their salaries. I believe Smith was on a mill a year, compare that to the mill a year that we have gotten out of Milford.
Donaghy is a smart operator and Kevvie has already started to show that he isn’t willing to give money to players that don’t deserve it. His offloading of Ofa and bird are early examples of this.
If the club chooses to give Dearden anything over 500k, they have rocks in their heads.

Your issue is with it being reported. Yet the organisation reporting this owns the Broncos.

JAC did but he had permission from his club to find a new place.

Have heard that as well, which means they may go Clifford as 7 for 12 months and hope that Dearden can come in as a 7 from then onwards, but what's the plan if they dont get Dearden?

I believe Asi is a 6 and Drinkwater is a 6 or 1, add in Morgan who's always been a 6 (excluding 5 weeks in 2017) and they're basically in the same boat as us with 6's everywhere but no 7... Except they just let a very promising 7 walk out the door.

I believe someone said Sam Walker is off contract next year... we should look to resolve Dearden soon to give us time to go after Sam if Dearden walks.

Understand there are issues between Walker bros and the Broncos, but PW and Seibold are gone... that only leaves the amateur hour that is Nolan, but Kevvie might be able to mend some bridges

No that wasn't my intention I just meant that if JT asks Sam Ayoub for a chance to impress Dearden he will get it.

Yeah but it was a private meeting that leaked (maybe on purpose), rather than a let's call the newspaper and tell them we're touring other clubs.
