Seriously, when the **** are they going to take the points from Parra?

When you go on one of the betting sites they aren't paying anything for Parra to make the top 8 so you would think they are going to but they still haven't.

According to Kent the NRL have already received the reply from Parra. My only guess is they are looking for something else.

There were reports the penalty could be worse as the NRL were still looking through all of the evidence.

I can only guess that they had a tip about something else that would make it worse for Parra and they are looking for it.

I've heard fans say they hear Greenburg at games say 2 weeks.

Reports Jarryd Hayne In Talks With Parramatta Eels | NRL | Triple M

In some breaking news, Jarryd Hayne is reportedly in talks with the Parramatta Eels.

Channel Nine rugby league reporter Danny Weidler reports Hayne's manager, Wayne Beavis, has held official talks with the club about the former NRL superstar returning to the blue and gold.

It's understood to be a deal worth over a million dollars, which the club says it can afford.

Re: Eels Salary Cap Breach

How on earth could they afford over a million dollars a season?

Unless another big money player is leaving. Like Foran.

That's what Weidler said, the only scenario in which they can afford that kind of money is if Foran leaves.

If any of the rumours that you may see around about the guy are true, he will be forced to leave the Eels anyway.

I would take him in a heartbeat tbh to play alongside Milf. I think he is one of those players who makes anyone playing alongside him better.

Re: Eels Salary Cap Breach

With the way things are going for Foran at the moment, I would prefer he doesn't come anywhere near the club.

He has a lot of issues and they aren't going away anytime soon, and it sounds like he isn't entirely committing himself to getting better. Right now he should be getting as far away from Rugby League as possible.

He would be very handy. Not in his current state of mind, though.

Re: Eels Salary Cap Breach

Here's the article:

STRUGGLING superstar Kieran Foran is walking out on his $5 million contract at the Parramatta Eels.

The pressure of dealing with personal issues has convinced the champion five-eighth to quit and take an indefinite break from the NRL.

The Daily Telegraph understands Foran told coach Brad Arthur of his decision on Thursday morning.

His release will have to be approved by Parramatta Eels directors, who are unlikely to stand in his way given they want former champion fullback Jarryd Hayne back at the club next year.

They would need Foran’s salary to fit Hayne under the salary cap.

Foran wants a complete break from the game to sort his private life out.

The fact he is turning his back on more than $4 million in contract earnings is an indication of his desperate recent struggles and his determination.

“The money is not important to him at this stage,” a friend said, “He just wants and needs a break.”

He recently spent time in a Brisbane rehab clinic to receive treatment for depression.

He has since undergone season-ending surgery to repair a shoulder injury.

It is unlikely Foran will be lost to rugby league forever.
He is only 25 and there will be huge interest from rival clubs for him to make a comeback next year, once he gets his personal issues sorted.

Already the Canterbury Bulldogs and the Sydney Roosters have shown interest, although their hands have been tied because of his contract at Parramatta.

Foran quit the Manly Sea Eagles at the end of last season to sign one of the richest contracts in rugby league history at the Eels.

He was the architect of Parramatta’s early season surge before he was hospitalised and diagnosed with depression.

He will have a strong support network, headed by his father Greg Foran, who is the CEO and President of Walmart America, where he earnt $19.5 million last year.

Coach Brad Arthur declined to comment when contacted by The Daily Telegraph this morning.

“The club has offered to do whatever we can to help him,” said one Eels official, “and that offer stands.”

Didn't know this but it sounds like he doesn't need the money so I hope he does spend a considerable amount of time away from the game.

You would imagine that the Hayne to Eels signing will be announced sometime in the off season.

Call me crazy, call me weird.............. but does anybody else find it utterly insane that the NRL would strip competition points from a club for major and on going salary cap breaches but then in the same year allow the same club to sign one of the more expensive players in the NRL?

As long as they're not cheating the cap to do so, the NRL should be more than happy to let them do it.
