Where are they going to play Kidley??? With Boyd at the club you would think Kidley could move to the halves or even hooker.

It's a media beat up. They have a quality half in reserve who was rated much more highly in QLD than DCE. They just about started on level pegging this year. You have to remember Foran is their number 1 priority.

DCE is a rookie who's had a rails run given he's come into first grade in a very strong team. IMO anything in the vicinity of 200k a year at this stage is just paying for potential. However, as soon as he becomes a premiership winning halfback and thrown a token Australian jersey his value will sky rocket over anything they have offered him, or would have planned to offer him a month ago.

He's signed through to 2013, obviously on the minimum wage right now though. Manly are certainly looking to upgrade him. I believe they also want to tack an extra year or so onto his contract in the process, which, IMO is also worrying.

Remember Wallace got an extra 100k plonked onto his yearly income not even halfway through his contract with us.
