I am getting pretty excited now not long to go!!!
So predictions people who is gonna win lose and draw???
Winner: Spain [icon_confu They have the best side as far as I can see and the fact my original tip Italy is in turmoil after Cannavaro gets hurt and Cassano gets into a fight at training. Spain I think with its players going well abroad now have the mental toughness to avoid what they have so often been to soft to do.
Surprise Packet: Croatia, they are very very good and will go to the quarters from a so-so group have quality throughout the side with not one player being the make or break for them.
Biggest flop: Netherlands, they have as much hope as I do. The best defender they have is Johnny Heitinga and he is ordinary they have goals in them lots of goals but at both ends and have to very solid teams in France and Italy to contend with. They will be hard pressed to beat Romania.
Wouldn't bet against: Germany, but who in their right mind would at a major tournament until the final?
Top Scorer: Toni, he will have cross after cross bombed at him by Panucci and Zambotta and is so strong and tall and is in such good touch that he really could get a good bag by tournaments end. Other chances - Petric from Croatia, Ballack from the Germs (he scores a lot off corners and penalties and that is how the Germs score them) and surely Torres is a chance but may get a few stolen by the likes of Villa.
Worst performed team: Austria, by some distance they would not be there or even remotely close to the tournament if they weren't hosting the party. Won't get a point probably won't score a goal.
Player of the tournament: Iker Casillas, if they win it may well be because of this guy who in my opinion is the games best keeper, I read recently he has been the most shot at keeper in La Liga for 5 straight years and yet Real Madrid continue to have decent against levels and had the lowest this year, remarkable. Also look at, Torres, Pirlo, Iniesta, Ballack.
Who wants a new contract?: Iniesta, the guy is a dead set genius and will demonstrate it to the whole world in a great midfield, his chance to show the world just how good he already is. Also look at, Benzema, Huntelaar (if he gets a run before they get booted), Modric, Aquilani.
