I was tempted with the draw (half time) Romania (full time) currently 4's on paddy power and on Betfair its 6.6!

Don't try it - from what I saw briefly yesterday, Romania are clear favourites with Holland paying around $3.50 for the win.

Anybody fancy a big bet on Romania to beat the Netherlands?
The Netherlands cannot be caught they will probably rest a few players and if Romania win it will mean France and Italy are eliminated which is again beneficial to the Netherlands.

It is a BIG chance you only have to look at how Portugal went this morning to see what happens when you throw your combinations out the window and give the second stringers (even if they are superior footballers than the opposition) a go.

I am on Germany to keep a clean sheet against the Austrians and Croatia v Poland first goal to come after 27 minutes. I still like Spain for the tournament they are going to have an out of form Italy/France or Romania (unpredictable but manageable) in the quarters and then a fellow choker in the Semi's in Holland. I am going to wait for the last of the group games before I put hard earned on them or anyone for the whole thing.

Germany clean sheet and first goal after 27th minute in the other game _woohoo_ Think I am gonna get on Italy for the morning they have played ok and been unlucky whereas France look crap, no idea about the other match until I see just how many changes the Dutch make.

My morning looks good had Italy and Holland multi'd and outright and had Italy tied up in a multi to get through the group which will collect now.

Also Barca have been signing players like crazy I wish they would go after Afellay from Holland he has been excellent this morning and generally is for PSV.

Going to pile on Spain in the quarters against Italy, Spain will be fresh and Italy had to slog it out in all 3 matches also Gattuso and Pirlo out suspended against the comp's best midfield who will all be rested for the last group game.

Wow who the hell would have guessed Turkey, Germany and Russia would have all completed those upsets in the quarters, well Germany wasn't much of an upset despite Portugal giving them the game with some atrocious defending.

Just goes to show. Not matter how good the Dutch look they can never do anything. Just lack what it takes. Pure and simple.

Expect Italy to beat the other lot of under-achievers tomorrow morning.

Without Gattuso and Pirlo I honestly can't see them winning especially as they have not played particularly well and their central defense has looked vulnerable. Spain also beat them in a friendly not long ago and I think this group might have enough experience to not let the "Spain are chokers" tag get to them.

Good to see the Italians lose this morning. Went out there and played awfully. Disgraceful when you set your side out to get to penalties. That said, Spain were also pretty poor and I would not give them too much hope in the semis unless they can really pick it up. I cannot believe Fabregas does not start for that side, the coach should be sacked on that basis alone.

He has never performed well for them after ample opportunities simple as that. Glad to see Spain through they were the better of two sides who were more concerned about not losing than winning which happens often with Italian matches in the knock out round. Spain will play better against Russia who will play more openly and leave holes for them to pass into, not to say Russia are without a chance because if they continue to play to form Spain will have to improve significantly to beat them.
