Emerging talent Ezra Mam extends with Brisbane Broncos.

We also have the best kicker in the game to learn off. Hopefully he gets in and does extras with Reynolds and picks his brain then that part of his game will come on in leaps and bounds.
Watched Souths v Easts draw today- Mam's kick/kick for Bowie was brilliant. Loved that he took his time once he got the ball, didn't rush looked around and found the option.
While Mam doesn’t have much to show in the way of general play kicking, he has shown some great little trick shots - especially stabbing well weighted grubbers behind the line while at full pace. Very instinctual player who would thrive next to Reynolds. We also have the best kicker in the game to learn off. Hopefully he gets in and does extras with Reynolds and picks his brain then that part of his game will come on in leaps and bounds.
How schweet it is to read about one of our young guns being signed to an extension without all the background noise created by the media. So often we are made to endure needless angst and uncertainty as the media drones on and on about how we are about to lose the next big thing to a rival club.
Great news!!
Such a great summation and it rings true with the earlier reports you have posted about him throughout the year. Not wishing to put any undue pressue on the kid, but what would ou rate his game awareness capacity out of ten?Good reward , few things I liked about his last 12 months.
Mam was injured a lot of 19 and like a lot didn’t play any football in 20 so 21 rolls around and to play MM, Colts and ISC is a great year. He’s still probably 30-40 games behind.
Mam wanted to play MM and his age group and had a great “season.” Souths wanted to get permission to play him at ISC before 18 but he was happy to wait. I like that.
He played ISC on short notice and took up the challenge.
Wanted to play finals when he could have pulled the I’m done card.
James was great for him because it meant he didn’t have to kick which he doesn’t do much of. There is the first thing he has to work on.
Defence is his other issue; against Townsville and Hunters he kept making the same mistake. When Laybutt and Feeney scored he turned in and didn’t get off at all and then repeated it. Two tries through you in a final in 10 minutes is a hard lesson.
Who I think will help him more than anyone is Capewell. Capewell is a great explainer to halves on what and why. He will help his defence and his passing and help him understand the why.
Good signing and he may be closer to playing than people think if he comes up with some really good form in ISC. We just need to let him develop and not push him too much.

I’m not saying this in a bad way, but does anyone else get a bigger version of Milford vibes?
*no credit to the broncos, but if it was that great south East qld club the Melbourne storm on the other hand....Great news for pathways, MM, Colts and ISC, it's done it again.
Has a bit of Raiders Milford about him, there’s something about the way he plays that makes me think of Cody Walker. The ball seems to bounce for him and he happens to find himself in the right place at the right time.I’m not saying this in a bad way, but does anyone else get a bigger version of Milford vibes?

You have to be there for good things to happen! Following up the play always goes unnoticed until the ball bounces your way after 10th attempt. I loved seeing that.Has a bit of Raiders Milford about him, there’s something about the way he plays that makes me think of Cody Walker. Good to know I’m not losing my marbles “yet”…Same junior club, raised in the same area and went to school about 15 minutes from each other. They're very similar.
Is that a bad thing??I’m not saying this in a bad way, but does anyone else get a bigger version of Milford vibes?
Fingers crossed Reynolds can stay on top of his fitness because mam sounds like a handy partner for him. A bit of yin for his yangHis game awareness for him is great, can pick when to run not when to kick but his game awareness for the other 33 players is not that great.
He's a kid that has spent his life running. I would too, stuff passing or kicking.
His last game in the finals he went in and out of the game, when Townsville were on top in the first half and dominating he retreated and it was Isaako who took control after half time, Mam went out to 6 and let Isaako get into first receiver but then that allowed Mam to run and score a try.
He needed to be freed up from the responsibility.
That’s why I said “I’m not saying this in a bad way”Is that a bad thing??
Milford was a weapon until Seibold destroyed the roster and made him play five eight, halfback and fullback, in the same game.
The highlights suggest that Ezra is the early days Milford... I don't think that's a bad thing... especially if he can come through on a decent salary and develop properly under the radar
