PLAYER Ezra Mam

I don’t mind them making him go on the tools but I hope it’s for a while not just for a day or 2 make him stay there till his ban is up then he can come back threw the lower grades make him earn it

A question I’m wondering is, are match payments on the salary cap?

I don't believe you get a discount on the salary cap for missed games... if that's what you're searching for here.

Player contracts would be a salary so they're paid regardless of availability.

NFL have IR (injury reserve or something??), which basically means we aren't using that player for the next 4 weeks, 12 months, whatever... so give us that cap space back.

The player still gets paid, but the club gets the cap space back for that time to bring replacement players in.

The NRL could look at something like that... given how much of an impact injuries to big players have on teams

Perfect place for someone recovering from a coke problem (assuming the failed drug test was coke) is with tradies...

If he's the best at training he gets picked. We don't need to kick him to the ground, piss in his face and laugh at his misery just to give vindictive fans their pound of flesh.

This is the best thing they could do for him. Learn what it is like to have a real job. Getting up early, slogging it all day in the heat and coming home through shit traffic.

Unfortunately he doesn't have kids at home expecting him to be available when he arrives. That is a whole other level of lesson to learn about being an adult.

Madge is setting the new standard which I love. Last year it would be "x has gone home to be with family and have few weeks off" "x is struggling with some personal issues and we are giving them the support they need". Zero accountability and zero life lessons learnt.

We hope he's not coming home through shit traffic because that means someone else is doing the hard yards for him, while he's feet up in the passenger seat.
With no license you'd want him riding his pushy to the train station, having to catch the first train of the morning to work over the opposite side of town and being on site on time. Then after slogging it out all day make your way home hopefully In the pissing down rain.
Then wake up, put your wet work boots on and go again the next day.

$850 Fine and 6 month disqualification. No conviction recorded. Good result and might see as little as 8 weeks suspension 😀

All these people saying he would be jailed etc. This is reality. Been saying it since the start. It's bad, but not Matt Lodge bad. He got a slap on the wrist. NRL will rub him out for 6 weeks and life will go on.
