There is not much to say after reading all the comments last night and this morning.

I was too far gone to comment last night as I had cracked a nice bottle of red for dinner (to calm the nerves) and it was so good I had finished it before the first 10 minutes of the game.

So after we got to the 60 minute stage I knew we had totally bullyed them had blooded them and clinically broken their spirit. So I cracked open a bottle of Royal Lochnagar to start the celebrations.

This was not just a breaking of the hoodoo this was a loud and clear statement to the rest of the teams that shouted - after breaking your balls against the next team to progress you still have to then come up against the Broncos.

Our goal line defence won this game for us as it left Munster, Hughes and Grant scratching their heads wondering what to do next. Make no mistake the storm were not clunky last night. They had enough ball in our 20M zone to win two games but our stoic defence just kept turning them away. Two bits of individual brilliance stood out for me on our goal line. Not sure exactly the time but the grubs looked like they were gaining some ascendancy and were looking dangerous and then up popped Billy Walters to snuff out their efforts. Later there was a kick through by Hughes that invariably gets them a result but Ezra plucked it out of the air like a thief in the night and just like that the storm knew their race had been run and they had come stone motherless last.

The whole team played as a team and it would be churlish of me to mention any of our short-comings this early. Instead I just want to bask in the glory for the next few days and then I'll re-focus on the games ahead.

Well done to every voice that rung out at the stadium too last night. When Smoothy kicked that 40/20 I got the feeling back that I used to get when we were winning back to back GFs. We've got one hell of a side that is still building.

What a pack of mugs, except for the bloke with no hair.

On the replay I really bumped again on the fact that when Xavier was injured it was only the Broncos boys got around him no Storm players. I noticed Staggs and Walshy making sure he was ok at the game, but upon replay realising none of his own Storm players checking on him.

gordon been playing 4d chess with everyone, now he gets his redemption arc
Nah he'll always be a shit stain in my eyes. Who he supports is irrelevant.

Never forget he did nothing but sink the boot in, in our tough times but jumps on board when we're doing well. He's a POS and always has been.

I believe his allegiance is with Kev, I don't know that our success has had anything to do with it, it has just turned out that Kev has turned the joint around

He'll throw Kev under the bus whenever it suits him too. You just wait.

It was pretty good listening to Cameron Smith suffer through that match in the commentary box, highly recommend watching the Channel 9 replay.

"Was that a shoulder charge?" he asked after Arthars folded Meaney in two, desperate for any kind of call.

Just watching the replay now and good god the physicality of everything we did is amazing. Kick chase on bombs was aggressive.

Staggs was epic in defence, every tackle he made looked like it hurt the opposition.

It’s strange to say after winning 26-0, but it still wasn’t close to a perfect performance. We still made a lot of unforced errors, particularly with play the ball errors (3 from memory) and a few balls just dropped cold with no one around.

As the game went on though I think we grew in confidence that we could defend those errors.

Good chance I watch this replay at least 2 more times today.
It was slippery out there and both teams struggled with it. It started raining about 5 minutes or so before kick off and rained well into the first half. Plenty of lightning and thunder around initially too, I thought we were really going to cop it, but seems like it slid to the North of Suncorp Stadium, thankfully.

He was looking old and tired in the presser I thought...
Hes still a great coach. The storm were gone half way through the year only to finish 3rd. They were just beaten by a better team , ok flogged by a better team (that felt good to say).
It was a tough night for them and thats the kind of loss, with the associated carnage, that can lead to an early exit. He knows it.

Magnificent. Zero and no injuries. About as good as you can get. I agree with whoever said it - I think we're gonna win it all now after vanquishing our boogeyman.

Geez I feel for paps though. Those celebrating his injury should give themselves an uppercut. Anyone who's gone through multiple surgeries and rehabs knows where he's at mentally, it's totally fucked. The poor ****.

Completely forgot the game was on. Haven't been game to look at the score. How badly did we get flogged?
