Agree re Hannant, he has been average all year apart from the odd game here and there. His form has avoided any real scrutiny probably because McGuire and others have covered for him so well but he definitley hasn't played to his pay scale.

Agreed with this.

Since Macca and Gillett have lifted their game I'd have to say Hannant has been our most disappointing player. Still, I'd muchn rather have him in the side than depend on Anderson and Kenny.

than depend on Anderson

Ugh, you know he's guaranteed to make one stupid error during a match, usually at an important moment.

Plus Anderson has no doubt improved throughout the course of the season. Gets put on his back a bit but overall a solid front rower. Just needs to work on his positioning on impact with the defence because he isn't afraid to run hard.

Yep. Not dissimilar to the areas Hannant needs to improve

Hopefully having Petero back will help there, although I would love to have Webcke back as forwards coach.

I think he needs to bulk up a bit.

 I know what you're talking about ning. Unlike McGuire, Anderson seems to always lose it just as we get inside the opposition half and the moment can be critical (vs. Melbourne). It s**ts me and it happens more times than it doesn't.

I used to get really angry with the way McGuire would give away needless penalties, or make silly errors, but credit to him - he's really starting to cut that out of his game. I'm loving his form over the last few weeks, it has been amazing. Hopefully he can carry it on.

On another note, I can't believe it's been nearly two years since we've experience finals footy! Cannot wait for this game.

Conclusion
Either the Broncos or Warriors will win this week...

Another Stat, and a scarry one at that is that in the last 8 finals series, 6 times team 6 has beaten team 3 in the first round of semi's.

And more scary. 3 of those 6 times it's been us that's beaten! (2004, 2005, 2006).

We also contributed to that stat by winning in 09. So 4 times Brisbane have been involved in 3v6 and team 3 lost all 4 times.

*Excluding 2002. Since that ruins things.

Hahaha, it's the exception that proves the rule ;-)
