Don't know why, Shiba has been strong defensively compared to staggs.

Shibisaki defenders far better than Isaako though , so does the corner post for that matter.

Because you could see it in the NRL photo of the captains with the trophy and in that interview his body language is much the same combined with the manner he spoke in. Much the same as it has been for the season. The hunger isn't there and that is alarming enough for a player, it's even worse for your captain.

You could be right Huge, maybe I am reading too much into this and I'm willing to admit I maybe wrong here, I just don't see the same hunger in Boyd as a player or captain as I do in 2017 or even 2018 and that isn't exactly a long time ago.

How does Shibaski keep getting picked in this team? He's worse than Isaako.

Boyd continuously at 5/8 takes the cake for mine. I bet Isaako would be a better 5/8 than Mr Darius 'don't-hurt-his-feelings' Boyd.

Fifita for Glenn, give him early ball and he will trample over Dylan Brown every set all game long. Haas to target Mahoney and Moses.

hopefully the Eels take us as lightly as some of our fans are ... if that happens we'll be moving on to week 2 ....

on another note, with Paix being named in the 21, i would swap him with Shibasaki for the token 5-10 mins of game time because it will give him a taste of what the NRL is all about and it will give the coaching staff a small idea of if he is ready to handle the big time.

oh and if there is an injury in the backline we can shift Boyd back there and have a specialist half to play 5/8

Just out of interest how many games do u think WB would have won at the Broncos this season minus Jet Moose Kodi Sua Kahu. My guess is certainly no more than 11.

don't forget the negative +/- and the fact we won 5 games by scoring less tries than our opposition...

Which incidentally is the REAL value of Isaako.....we dont win that game against Parra without Isaako, nor do we win those games where we scored less tries too....

Thats what we are paying Isaako for, and at this time, in this iteration of this team and the fact we are far away from even being a competent NRL team.....without Isaako wed be 14th...
