Finals Week 1

Why? Brown had a second effort, he's not entitled to just pick him up.
Chambers never had any intention of playing the ball. Tackle was completed and he just laid there for eternity

Melbourne are a fucking joke
I don't care who wins this year as long as it isn't them

Sounds like you've been...

THUNDERSTRUCK!!

Storm 17 premiers. Buy the jersey, buy the dvd, buy the commemorative poster, buy the brazillian jiu jitsu training guide and be apart of history.

Then let him lay there and get the penalty, don't try and pick him up.

Brown is a moron.

ok that's enough now

Great win by the storm. Even not at their best too good. Well done eels. Made it closer than I thought. Might take a bit out of them

No way in hell would the ref penalize a player for time wasting with the game on the line, especially the Melbourne Storm.

It's hard to compete against a side when you're being raped by the officials on field.

5-1 penalty count to the Storm in the second half. A no try being awarded a try because they didn't want to check what happened in the lead up.

Storm were allowed to wrestle their way to victory, but the slightest indiscretion from the Eels was penalized, like the Ma'u penalty for example.

Have the Storm ever lost a game due to questionable refereeing?

Alright enough bandwagoning.

I thought the Eels did incredibly well but the reality is they lack the quality of talent needed to really put Melbourne away. They just made too many mistakes in that early period of the second half and some of those penalties were just incredibly stupid. They still defended like demons which you have to do but ultimately they had nothing in the tank when it came to their attack. Just one try off a forward bounce pass wasn't all that convincing.

I think Melbourne should be able to qualify for the grand final from here, but if teams did their homework there could be an upset on the cards.

2006 Grand Final.

And it was glorious.

There was also a Souths final in 2013 where Souths got every call you could imagine.

Which call was wrong? The only questionable tries were the first one to the storm and radradra one. Both looked a touch forward

Gus with another classic to match his " NSW didnt lose that game " Quote after Qld won 6-4.

Gus said " This shows Melbourne arent unbeatable " just as Melbourne dont lose the game.

They usually call time off. Not a rule for time wasting when you have the ball. Teams slowly getting up has been in the game for years when the clock is going down. Quite ironic that the eels have the king of time wasting in Kenny "the cramp" Edwards
