Gagai released!!!!!

I think Hook has called his bluff, straighten up or you're out.

I think we might need to sign a winger from elsewhere if a decent one is on the market. Does our under 20's side have any gun wingers? Is Whitchurch a genuine winger or a makeshift one like Copley?

Whitchurch can play fullback, centre or wing but I reckon centre is his best position.

And I don't think there's a desperate need to sign a star winger. There's still plenty of depth throughout the club with the likes of Whitchurch, Jordan Kahu and Lachlan Maranta to name a couple. Not to mention Jharal Yow Yeh.

I doubt we know the full story on this TBH.

agreed. i trust the decision thats been made. this is why we are such a strong club, we have solid standards.

copes has been pretty solid since that first bad game he had this year.

Wingers aren't like props or halves. They can come into first grade without the steep learning curve other players have to face. Given the size of our junior base I'm sure it won't be a problem.

I never rated Robinson at the Broncos, but I've watched a couple of Canberra games this year and to his credit, he has been in pretty good form.

Because his team mates have been shyte.

Busy getting banned constantly on LU & making insinuations about Griffin paying Copley's rent or some such.

If that guy really has any kind of influence on Gagai, this shouldn't come as a surprise... :shake:

I have been following his career since the U20's and always thought he would step into the shoes of some of the greatest backs in Bronco history. Sadly it looks like it's not going to happen, but I'm proud the club stood by its principles.

Regardless, I hope this is the lesson he needed to finally pull his head in, and doesn't ruin a second chance somewhere else, because he is too much of a talent to be lost to the NRL.

Well the writing must've been on the wall a couple of weeks ago when he was dropped from Redcliffe for turning up late to training.

A shame as he plays well, but at least we now know why Copley has been playing ahead of him.

I'm really surprised. But good on Griffin doing such tough thing. Though I guess him not being an established first grader, or a rep player probably makes it a lot easier.

I guess our next big hope is now Kahu.

No issues with this. Seems like there's been a pattern of minor indiscretions. Nothing hangable but if you've got high standards you can't afford to bend no matter how promising the talent might be.

I actually think this will be good for Gagai too. It seems like the kick up the arse he needed.

sounds like he had a few too many sunday sessions

penrith could use him. not that that would be good for gagais career. he would play first grade next week for them.

Nice to know someone like Griffen is in charge. He has a lot of respect from the players and Gagai's release wont have a.y negative effects from the other younger broncos.

Watch NRL on Fox tonight. Thiaday is going to reveal what Hook is really like.
