Not sure Cam could do much about a prerecorded ad being played whenever the **** they felt like it
Am sure a savvy guy like Smith could have it somewhere in the contract.

You give way too much credit to the power a footballer has over advertisers, businesses and tv stations. No footballer or sportsperson would be silly enough to severely limit their earning potential by including onerous conditions, it would make no sense and besides, it provides a very easy out. Smithy can just shrug his shoulders and say...what can I do about it?Am sure a savvy guy like Smith could have it somewhere in the contract.

Went downhill when they got to McGuire....happy with that before then though. I wouldn't have Thaiday, Hess or Milford. Morgan, F Kafusi ..... I'd like Kafusi and Papali in the back row with Gillette in the 13probably wouldn't pick Slater either, Boyd with Oates and Holmes would dohttp://www.sportingnews.com/au/leag...ok-like-for-game-ii/hdsa2jcr4pyl1ahkcgmizaei6
What my team would look like.
Mmmm, doubt Mal had much to do with it ! Why would he be the one loyal to a brewery ? I'd say he wouldn't have cut of his nose to spite his face....more likely some backroom slug had something to do with it...anyhoo, makes no differenceI wonder how he got out of it a few years ago then..? From memory his image had been printed on the cartons of beer wearing our jersey minus the xxxx advertising on it. Not sure if any ended up being sold but when Mal found out he told him that he could either get them pulled or forget about playing.

It's fairly obvious Milford is being groomed to be the next 5/8 for Qld and has overtaken Morgan in Walter's eyes.Err, he's only there for JT isn't he or did you think he was going to be selected even when JT was fit !!???.....Milford is surplus to needs.
There is nothing wrong with the centres, wingers. They don't need to change apart from O'Neill out and holmes The forwards are the problems. Only really the front row depth and that can be fixed with a few smart selections around mcguire and wallace. Put mcGuire in the front row ffs. We have plenty of good backrowers that can fill in that arguably better than him in that position. We need to get away from this nsw mentality of panic. We pick the right young forwards and move a few around we win the series. We are where we want to be. Heavy undersogs. If you ask nsw we may aswell not even turn up. Its over. I have seen and heard shit like the backpage of the telecrap today a number of times and we have always found a way. I expect no different
And while we are at it one of the most knowledgable blokes in the game benny elias says that Cam Smith should be dropped for nathan peats in the australian side... deadset. Benny would not even make a first grade list these days. Lets just let them dig that grave and talk them up. It will get in their heads for game 2 and once we win that game we will ambush them in the greatest cauldron of them all ala 2015.
I want 4 forwards on the bench. All of them with a bit of mongrel and aggression.
Hess, Sims, Bukuya, Kaufusi.
I want these guys spitting maroon blood, frothing at the mouth like wild animals, with eyes rolled back in the head when they come on the field.
I want Napa and McGuire leading from the front. And I don't want to see McGuire touch the ball on the 4th tackle, ever.
Our best back 5 combo is - Slater, Oates, Chambers, Boyd, Gagai. No other 5 man combination beats this.
If Thurston plays , Cooper needs to play. Cooper and Thurston should be a beer brand, it's that good.
Gillett and Papa are fine in the backrow as well. Gillett can cover for a back injury.
It's just hilarious how some people are thinking that NSW players really said that yet you're going off something some dud journo like Rothfield wrote. I watched the post game conference and interviews with the Blues players in the sheds after the game and not once did any of them say that they've won the series or say anything like the paper is saying. They all said it was a great effort and we will celebrate the win but there is still a lot of work to be done and they were all expecting Queensland to come back much better in Sydney, Daley even said QLD were on an off night and there is nothing to get to excited about yet. And by the way, the paper just talks to Benny Elias because they know they are going to get something stupid from him and will get attention for it. Same reason why the CM talks to Chris Close, DT with Raudonikis
Hilarious how Murdoch has brainwashed you
Papalii threw a couple in the first half and looked threatening everytime he had the ball.
I thought he was one of the best players on the field, even in a well beaten side.
I think it's time for Corey Oates to move into second row, for Queensland and Brisbane. Brisbane need that option as I'm not happy with Glenn or Thaiday anymore, and Queensland need a big ass body to match it with there big bodies. Wouldn't be against him on the bench for Queensland this year and doing the full position swap to the forwards next year.
FTR, I think the majority of improvement can be made not by just selecting a different team, but by looking at our game plan and technique. The players we have and plan on sticking with (Smith, Gillett, McGuire etc) are all very capable of keeping a very tight ruck, over a sustained period, we just need to look at why they were all so fatigued.
The kicking game was almost Broncos-2016-like. Cronk (Hunt) the main kicker so pressure him and it all falls apart. Thurston there helps exponentially, but even if he's still out Smith needs to chip in more as does anyone else who can boot a ball (Boyd, Slater, etc). A better kicking game, not just repeat sets, but kicking for corners and getting them away cleaner will go along way to wearing them out as much as they wore us out.
Tackling technique. We already know it's pointless getting 3 players high on Fifita, the same as it is with Taumalolo etc. Go low. It risks a fast play the ball but not if the other defenders catch him mid-fall and turtle him. Also, if the ref is refusing to blow penalties, get looser at marker. NSW seemed to have an advanced warning that anything goes, and they were often split at marker, slowing us down effectively, and not getting pinged.
As for our runners, we need to fight fire with fire. Wallace is going to help just with his workrate, but he won't bring fire. Replace Guerra with Sims. He's more consistent than Hess and is great on both sides of the ball. He was poor last week at lock but at prop he's excellent and can rough up and slow down runners while he's defending, and split defenders and offload with the ball in hand. But most importantly, for all of our players, we need to run to tire them out. Going low at the line, getting to ground fast, and not allowing them to slow us down is one thing, but it doesn't sap their energy. NSW wore us out by constantly changing angles and shifting the ball. We need to do the same, moving the ball around the middle to tire out their props, and the giving it to our back-rowers against the grain to get in behind the ruck or if the defence follows, out one more pass as it means their halves will be more exposed.
Don't hate the players mate but they aren't leaving Wallace out and they aren't debuting 4-5 forwards.
