Game III teams

I really find it hard to believe that, as much as I am a fan of Oates and I like Holmes, it would be wise to put them under such huge pressure to play in an Origin decider. Even Gagai. I am starting to think that maybe Morgan on the wing is a better option.

I would also dearly like to see Napa or Papalli on the bench, ideally both, and taking care of Klemmer while Scott deals with Woods.

Whoever is picked, I thought too many Maroons had ordinary games on Weds and that won't happen again. I just hope Cronk is fit and ready. The Qld side is built around him, and his combination with Thurston and Smith is irreplaceable for this game, coached as it has been for so long.

Team for Game 3 if Broncos fans were voting -

1. Boyd
2. Oates
3. Inglis
4. Hodges
5. Vidot
6. Thurston
7. Hunt
8. Scott
9. Smith
10. McGuire
11. Gillett
12. Thaiday
13. Parker

14. Milford
15. Myles
16. Napa
17. Guerra

And you call yourself a Broncos fan, Unbreakable.

1. Anthony Milford
2. Darius Boyd
12 Corey Oates
14. Ash Taylor
17. Sam Thaiday (he's only good off the bench and on one year deals)

60-0 am I right boys?

I'd love to see Oates line up on the wing, he's a big guy with safe hands, shows a bit of toe and knows how to find the tryline. He can steamroll people when he needs to and knows how to hit hard in defence (just ask Gavin Cooper when he finally stops spewing).

But it just wouldn't be fair to throw a 20 year old into the deep end, running out in a must-win game to get the shield back where it belongs and send his captain out a winner. I reckon he'd do a better job than Gagai but there's more chance of them picking Adam Mogg than Corey at this stage.

Are you kidding?

6. Thurston
7. Taylor

On a serious note, this is actually probably our most likely option come to think of it:

1. Inglis
2. Boyd
3. Guerra
4. Hodges
5. Chambers
6. Thurston/Morgan
7. Cronk/Thurston
8. Scott
9. Smith
10. Myles
11. Gillett
12. Thaiday
13. Parker

14. Morgan/DCE
15. Papalii
16. McGuire
17. Napa

Guerra was great at centre for Italy in the WC. There we go, that's a pretty well balanced side and no debutant back line player in a massive game.

With all due respect to Guerra playing at centre for Italy against a minnow nation at the World Cup doesn't come close to playing centre in Origin against 2 excellent players who've performed very well at this level over a period of time.

What are the chances that Jennings is left out of the side after his arrest.

Josh Jackson will surely be missing from game 3 after tonight's spear tackle. Looked pretty bad. Surely worth 2 weeks at least.

I would expect him to be stood down by the Roosters for a game, preempting the NRL. The NRL then won't do anything about it unless he is found guilty...his court date isn't for a few weeks. Jennings will play origin III unless the Roosters don't hand out a punishment.
