Tallis was on the fox footy show just then talking with the panel about Gaz making a million a year and going overseas.

One of the guys asked him whats the most he was offered, he didn't want to say but after a little pressure said that in 1999 he was offered:


$750,000 a year for 7 years :shock:

But didn't say which club. He said he knocked it back because he wanted to play in QLD and stay with his mates.

I thought he got a massive offer from Wigan or Leeds, just can't recall which one it was. I don't think he was exactly playing for peanuts at the broncos though, yet it wouldn't have been $750,000.

I dunno, I don't see Williams getting any better to be honest. Not more damaging anyway. If anything he'll just become more consistent and solid, and the brilliant offloads/runs etc will be once every game or two, not his main modus operandi.

IMO yes. If he can still injury free and keep his head screwed on (staying away from mundine would be a good start!!)
