the guy who already has his whole neck covered in tattoos up to his jawline as well as 90% of his chest and arms, maybe?

He's a famous NRL footballer with too much money, he can get all the facial tattoos he wants and it won't make an ounce of difference to his life in the long run. After his career is over noone is going to care if he has a facial tattoo, he was the halfback that steered Souths to their first premiership in 40+ years - I think he'll be just fine.

I'm going to have to disagree. Regardless of whether the money is enough to set himself up for like, it's decisions like these, not just spur-of-the-moment ones, but the conscious decision to paint the majority of your body, that suggests to me that he's not the "I'll consult my financial planner before I spend $200k to make my Jeep fullsikest" type.

Alas, the tattoos turned out to be as fake as a late-season Bunny-bandwagoner, as pretend as an Oscar-winning performance from Russell Crowe.

Just on this, what happens if his form drops or a player comes through the ranks with buckets of talent, demanding selection? I would be very surprised if another side picked him up with such a visible representation of a rival club. Irrelevant now obviously, but still.

If I was rich/earning 500k+ a year I'd most likely have 2 full sleeves and a chest piece too. that doesnt mean I'm bad with money in any way shape or form, and it shouldnt be used to say that he might be either.

the facts are that he is a famous NRL player who will get a huge contract upgrade next time he negotiates, will forever be remembered for this year at least, and will most likely never struggle to get a job or have money. a facial tattoo is the least of his worries.

many players have visible tattoos of other clubs. it seems like every other player gets a tattoo with their team logo when they win a premiership these days, and they often go to other clubs. Inglis has one of the Storm and he just won a premiership with souths. teams dont care about tattoos lol.

Of course players do....on their arms, biceps etc. Maybe I'm wrong but I think a facial tattoo of another club is just a little bit different to that. Like I said, irrelevant now.

For one, say goodbye to them ever appearing in any official photoshoots, marketing material, TV interviews, anything that shows his face, for any new club. Ever.

It's been reported many, many times that it is just a temp tattoo. This reminds of the religious debate in the other thread - each to their own while they aren't hurting anyone else.

Like I said, irrelevant now. I didn't have an issue with them getting it, each to their own. Just debating their possible future employment opportunities.
