Grand Final Discussion

https://broncoshq.com/nrl-live-game-chat/24023-prelim-finals-discussion.html#post2626735

To add onto that. In 2004, Steve Price (c) was injured in the preliminary final against Panthers and couldn't take part in the Grand Final.

10 years later, Michael Ennis (c) was injured in the preliminary final against Panthers and is all but certain to sit out.

However, the more I keep hearing about Ennis being out, the more I think he will play.

Have maintained from the start that I think he will play. They released the statement regarding his injury way to early to be believable IMO.....without actually saying where the breaks occurred. Add to that the fact that Des named him......he may not play, but there's a solid chance he will afaic.

No way in the world could you play with two broken bones in your foot !!

Could you ??

He'd be even more of a target if he did play .... the Burgess boys might even be inclined to stomp on his feet in the scrums a few times too :takdir:

Indeed you could. I was listening to the radio last Sunday and they had a doctor on there talking about it (can't remember his name, but Gordie etc knew him well). It just all depends on where the breaks are, some you can needle and some you can't. There are also some areas that can be career ending if you try and play with them. The fact that they have yet to name the break makes me highly suspicious. Greatest troll to ever troll if Ennis ends up playing.

Which would be the biggest concern imo. His foot will be stepped on, twisted and god knows what else.

What makes people so sure it's even broken?

Has any medical staff come out and said in the media that it is?

This could all just be a tactic from Des. It's not the first time it's happened..

The State Championship trophy. Not bad.

I disagree with some saying that this Grand Final will be a walkover for Souths

- The Bulldogs have got far more experience in games like these and were in the Grand Final just 2 years ago. In total Bulldogs players have played in 10 Grand Finals in comparison Souths have only played 5 and that is in courtesy of Inglis and Tuquri. Having big game players is crucial in games like these. It will be very interesting to see how the young blokes at Souths handle the pressure of a Grand Final

- The Bulldogs have a forward pack that is capable of stopping the Souths go forward through the middle which I see as one of their main strengths. When the Cowboys halted their progress in round 24 they didn't play anywhere near their potential.

- The Bulldogs have the best clutch player in the game in Trent Hodkinson

- Souths have always relied on the Luke partnership with the halves and having him out is going to affect them. Ennis out is going to hurt the Dogs as well so it's levelled up there

- Des is a great coach that knows how to win premierships whilst it's McGuire's first Grand Final but he is a great coach as well but he hasn't coached in a game like this.

- The Bulldogs are experts at winning grand finals amid adversity remember 1995 and 2004

Souths will take some beating but I wouldn't be at all surprised if Canterbury won their 9th Premiership tomorrow.

This is what I am worried about. We have had 2 very close matches this year and it isn't going to be as easy as people make it out.

6:20 QLD time, I believe.

Completely forgot about daylight savings. Cheers lads

Anyone with half a brain knows it won't be easy Twizzy, keep the faith. Have not seen my dad this nervous for years lol

Watching the Sunday footy show and they had a segment about Lazarus.

I miss Broncos having props like that.

Took the Grand Final quiz on Fox Sports and Big League

On the Fox sports quiz I got 24/25 on the Big League one I got 22/30
