I should probably take a closer look into the grand final ticket situation.

There's going to be another sale on the Monday prior? That's the theory we're working with?

If so, as soon as the game is over (assuming that will be on the 25th, I'll have my answer.

At the risk of putting the horse before the cart, might it be a good idea to preemptively consider potential budgets for seating?

If this does eventuate, might not be a bad idea so folks can snap up tickets in the same section /price range?

I'm considering doing it even if we miss out on the GF. Can't think of a better occasion to have a face-to-face. Especially as it's less likely to be 45 degress like the last one, amirite guys?

I "approached" the idea with the wife yesterday. The tactic being "you know I'm going to have to have the house spotless before they come over, right?".

ahem 2006. AFL grand finals have been very successful without Victorian teams. Grand finals are always a success no matter who is playing.

SF is right. I bought tickets to the '06 Grand Final on the Tuesday before and they were good seats. People were selling them all over the place.

This isn't AFL.

The 2006 NRL GF was under capacity.

I'm not saying it won't be a great crowd.. It just won't be a sellout. And ebay will have a lot of tickets from all the Roosters and Souffs fans.

This will be close to a $1000 day trip. The airfares ATM are around $550 return, a decent ticket $160, chuck in a few rums and food. I'm still good to go though but the long weekend means we get pumped on the airfares and the later it's left the more we get pumped.
