Bennett will take his game to new heights. The rot started and will continue while Walters is at the helm.
That coach you think is shit beat your mob twice last year

Yeah I'd like to hope so otherwise him not getting a run in the trials would of been part of a reason he left. Can only assume (and hope) he had already let them know he was leaving before the trials so they didn’t bother
Yeh true. How deep into the finals did you guys get??That coach you think is shit beat your mob twice last year
Yeh true. How deep into the finals did you guys get??
I'd also say Reynolds coached the team pretty well for those two outings.
Ah the old kev is a shit coach but when he wins it's someone else being the coach.Yeh true. How deep into the finals did you guys get??

Yeh true again. Is that up on the walls somewhere at HQ? I'd rather lose to your lot twice and play in a prelim, than beat us and miss out all together, in what might be the worst capitulation I've ever seenspin it any way you want ... but the scoreboard still reads Kevvie 2 - JD 0
It'd the players who think it not meAh the old kev is a shit coach but when he wins it's someone else being the coach.
In hindsight we probably did stuff that up, but Staggs was our best player until he did his ACL in the last round... and he was in everything that year too.I think we stuffed up giving the big contract to Staggs, that should of went to Herbie, if he plays Fullback for the then it's pretty much out of our hands anyway, he has always said he wants to play fullback, once we signed Walsh that was never really going to happen.
Even though it would of been good had we atleast bothered to let him play there for a few games when we had the basket cases of Isaako and Niu.
I think it is the lack of windows. So he will be coached by Wayne? There’s some real issues with understanding the concept of time on BHQ
Making the prelims means nothing if you don’t win the GF. If you lose the prelim you finish in the exact same place as the wooden spooner - without a premiership.Yeh true again. He won't be dropped, and he'll probably stay at centre for now, but if Mariner is destined for centre next year, he should get some time there this season at Herbie's expense. Same with Cobbo.
None of this will be news to the Broncos. They will have known he's going for some time. You'd assume.
What is with all this Staggs hate? Guy is a gun and puts in. His last trial game he made one mistake based on a bad read from a new 7 next to him and allowed other players to showcase/test themselves. He is a weapon and with that reputation he will get shut down more often. It is up to the Broncos playmakers and the coach to use that.thoughts of shopping kotoni around and putting Herbie on the right side?
Dolphins or knights would have taken him in a heartbeat, surely.
I would imagine this would be a factor, regardless of what reasons he openly gives, this is a normal human thought to have.If I was Herbie I'd be pretty disappointed that I was never given a crack there in the whole time he has been at the Broncos.
Had Issako stinking it up, got named there but shifted to the wing when Coates got injured and Tesi came in.
Had Cobbo a guy who shows us late to training, too tired to play, bags the coach getting a crack before him.
Even guys who dont even have a NRL contract in Sailor getting a crack and Martin who was a 6.
Didn't even get a run on his preferred side of the field as a centre when Staggs was injured or down on form.
So if he was ever promised a crack in his preferred positions he never got a chance at either.
Bahahahah that's classic. You sound like a tigers supporterMaking the prelims means nothing if you don’t win the GF. If you lose the prelim you finish in the exact same place as the wooden spooner - without a premiership.
It's a real blow to lose Herbie as he looks to be coming into form just nicely. I say play him for the year unless his form starts to drop.
On the wanting to play fullback talk lets face it Herbie was never getting that gig as he either can't or wont pass the ball. To be honest I've always believed that Herbies game is tailor made for the wing.
Mariner played well in the trials and I'm sure he will see some NRL game time during the year especially since a spot has now opened in front of him for a backline position.
Mariner may even turn out to be a better centre than Herbie as he showed in the trials that he actually has a passing game unlike Herbie.
