Historys worst refereeing performances

Can someone explain to me how Trent Barrett's headslam on Boyd wasn't picked up by the refs?

same way the shephard wasnt, or the high shots on shillo and myles all night

Yeah but even Rabs picked up on that one and if he picked up on it you have to wonder how none of the officials did!

Because they wanted NSW to win the friggin' game

Worst performances I can remember:
* 2000 State of Origin game 1 - 2 missed knock ons by Harrigan
* 2002 State of Origin game 3 - Lockyer no try. NSW get the ball and score soon after to seemingly win the series, before Carlaw's last ditch try.
* 2002 preliminary final, roosters v broncos. Harrigan was on our case all game. One crucial decision I can remember is Hodges picking up McGuire and throwing him out of the way while he was making a tackle and the roosters getting the penalty.
* ANZAC day game, can't recall what year. Finch bounces the ball onto the dead ball line and is awarded a try
* 2006 state of origin game 3 - Carroll no try, Hodgson knock on, Thurston so called knock on. It was so sweet to win that game.

The refereeing in the Panthers v Warriors was horrible today, Hayne listened to the home crowd all afternoon penalty count was 11-3 and all the 50/50 calls went the home sides way. Was an incredible performance by the Warriors to sneak home.

I actually did'nt notice the refereeing all that much and thought it was a fair bit both ways, lots of tactics from both sides. That said I wonder if it was because I'd backed NSW to win with Qld first half and NSW the second. I also backed them to win by 6 8 10, Locky heard about my wager and punted a field goal to blow 3 of my bets out of the water. Then my favourite champions won the game,a game I could have handled losing just for the lucrative payday.

Bet with your head not above it. [icon_razz1

Warriors versus Panthers yesterday must be right up there. It was actually insane.

1994 World Club Challenge
Broncos vs Wigan
I think Ref was Greg Mc Callum
Still the worst display of refereeing ever

Tonight the Refs have blundered the Cowbs/ Eels game - fantastic game, but then the refs absolutely ruin it by giving the Eels complete ascendecy and screwing the poor old cowbs over, and yes I saw that forward pass try, but I think that first try that was called no try could not be called no try by the video ref because we saw nothing conclusive and as such should have been BOD, yes the Cowbs can blame themselves, but seriously, they keep getting ripped off by these hacks!

With the typical NSW biased comentary to go with it too... Some of the calls tonight came right out of a Stephen King novel. [icon_non

I wanted to smash my TV with the commentators saying the Hayne Train is back etc.

I nominate the Tigers Cowboys game tonight. What a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I nominate Shane Hayne as the worst referee in history.

The last 2 weeks he has set the benchmark even higher, the guy is completely retarded!

Neil Henry isnt happy about the reffering. I dont blame him at all. I have always rated Shane Hayne as a ref but deadset that was a shocker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
