Hodges may retire at the end of this year

I don't want to continue the 'argument' as such, but for those wanting Milf at #1 and Boyd in the centres, wouldn't that be the perfect opportunity to put Taylor in the halves (assuming he's still here) instead of Kodi?

But on-topic, it really needs to come together for Hodgo if he's set on retiring. Origin + Premiership. My original ending for that was Gagai being back to walk straight in in 2016. Was legit surprised he re-signed so early in the piece

1. Milf
2. Maranta
3. Boyd
4. Copely
5. Kahu
6. K.Niko
7. Hunt

I like where Milf has been named here ... but i think this team could work much better (changes in bold)

1. Milford
2. Maranta
3. Boyd
4. Copley
5. Kahu
6. Hunt
7. Taylor

14. K. Nikorima

I'd actually prefer Boyd on the wing, with Copley and Kahu the center pairing, but if it gets Milford to fullback, I'd be happy to see Boyd at center.

I'd be very sad to see Hodges leave, but if he does, he goes with our thanks for his service to the club since returning to the promised land. If he elects to receive one final pay day in the ESL, well then good luck to him

So many moves to get Taylor in tho, better be worth it... Haven't seen enough of him to really judge him but given how hyped he is on BHQ..... I'm gonna be let down when he doesn't setup 5 tries a game and turn Super Saiyan before hafltime ;)

My tomato sauce says it's going to be like this when Hodges retires.

1 Darius Boyd
2 Anyone
3 Anyone
4 Anyone
5 Anyone
6 Anthony Milford
7 Ben Hunt

28 Ashley Taylor

for me i think Taylor offers something that none of Milford, K. Nikorima or Hunt really do ... and that is organisation as well as a decent kicking game.

I'm also liking what K. Nikorima is offering off the bench and I don't think we should change that just yet.

besides we all know my position on Milfords best position.

for me that lineup i just named = a whole lot of wins

Hey! Just like the current lineup, right?

Nah we lost twice and that's because our halves are shit and can't kick or something like that...

(Hunt leads the NRL in open space kicks, kicking metres and kicks taken... He is second for kicks direct to opposition behind DCE)

I think Kahu (injuries permitting) is the perfect replacement for Hodgo if and when he retires.

For 2016, I'd like to see this, although I can't see WB doing it, as it is too much risk vs. safety for his mentality.

1. Anthony Milford
2. Darius Boyd
3. Dale Copley/J. Nikorima
4. Jordan Kahu
5. Carlin Anderson
6. Ben Hunt
7. Ashley Taylor

14. K. Nikorima

I hope Taylor makes it hard for WB to ignore him, as regardless of individual talent, he's the only real playmaker/organiser we have and by far the best kicker of all the above.
Having him in the halves would also release all Hunt's potential imo, as he wouldn't be burdened with the task of doing most of the organising and kicking, but use his vision selectively to set-up the clutch plays he is so good at.

As shocking as it may sound, I wouldn't be surprised to see WB doing the following though, if the current halves pairing doesn't bring the needed organisation and game control:

1. Boyd
2. Maranta
3. Reed
4. Copley/Oates/Nikorima
5. Kahu
6. Milford
7. Taylor

14. Hunt

1. Boyd
6. Milford
7. Taylor
9. Hunt

14. McCullough

Confirmed 2017 line-up boys, lock it in.

1 Boyd
6 Milford
7 Hunt
8 Taylor
9 McCullough
14 Kodi
15 Jayden

What about this guys? Taylor could be the first ever play making prop forward. Acknowledge meeeeeee

People seem pretty happy with Milford coasting, can't see Taylor doing less than that. Love the idea of having someone in the halves with a proper kick.

Hunt to 5/8? **** me dead. He's a 7, that's it.
His footy is much more that of a 5/8 than halfback, but there isn't that much difference between the roles nowadays. Look at Thurston for example...
