Hoffman

But at the same time they still do it, and Hoffman still executes it well.

I disagree. He struggled with it a fair bit.

The side seems to be doing the in ball out ball play which Hoffman is excelling at.

 Whatever. He's certainly not as good as Hunt with it, who had what, 3 years to perfect it?

He's doing fine with the play, and will only get better at judging the best move once he gets the ball.

He'll get better.

But it doesn't come naturally like it did to Karmichael.

I'm happy the Broncos aren't relying on that move though.

Hunt was rookie of the year in his first year, Hoffman won't be rookie of the year (and that's because this isn't his first year mind you...)

Lol, Yeah he did win rookie of the year but definatly not the best rookie of that year.

Remembering that a Mr Sonny Bill Williams was coming off the bench for the Doggies..

Sonny in Rugby & Kunt in Homo/Gay/Realy Gay/Mardi Gra gayAFL.....How things change.

Are you serious? That move only became a well oiled and lethal weapon in his last years at the Broncos.

I remain of the opinion that when comparing the first NRL season (not the one where Hoff was covered by Hunt obviously), Hoffman is showing more than Hunt did.
Albeit this will mean nothing if Hoffman doesn't show Hunt's consistency and heart now and especially in the dreaded 2nd season...

although it's a while ago, the things i remember about hunts debut season weren't really anything to do with ball playing skills. it was his fearless approach to seasoned players, his tenacity, his enthusiasm.

it was only 2006 and onwards I felt he started to get more involved with the ball in hand.

This is correct and is reflected by his try assist stats. Hunt doubled his try assists per game in 2009 from what he'd produced from '04-'08.

If stats don't do it for you, then re-watch some of his football in '04 and '05. His passing game was very unreliable over longer distances.

In 2006 he basically played as an extra halfback.

And that third man play was used non-stop.

First, I started the +1 thing which opened up a can of worms. Now I started this thread which lead to people talking about Hunt and not Hoffman :(.

Sorry, guys.

PS. GO HOFFMAN!
