Hunt has put the cue in the rack

Without reading all the dribble, are people trying to say Hunt is better than Milford. Just a simple Yes/No.

NO !
We are saying hunt peaked in 2015 . Hasn`t recovered top form since .

His last game was not lacking effort . His execution of skills was below par .

I don't think anyone could ever say Hunt doesn't try every game he plays. He has tried his guts out time and time again ever since he came into grade.
His problem is he just isn't that good, and he never will be.
He's not bad.
He's even a bit good when he has a good day, but generally speaking compared to some of the classy 7's that have played our game he will never be up there amongst the great 7's.
I have always had a bit of time for him and loved seeing him have a great season in '15. I thought it was a tragedy that he dropped the game for us. I was there. it hurt. still does.
I wondered if he would ever get over it - things like that have ruined greater sportsmen than him.
In '16 it looked like he was struggling to get over it as we lurched through the season with some great games and some junk.
In '17 he started slow but everyone was too busy bagging MILF while we marvelled at the DragQueens paying THAT MUCH money for Hunt and wondering could they see something that we had missed...
No they didn't - they were desperate. History will show what folly it was I suspect.
He hasn't put any cue in any rack - he is just doing the best he can
and its just not that good.

^^

Good assessment . I saw him in Under 20s and thought woo hoo this kid is gonna be real goodn . Then I saw him try to lead the team in the NRL and fck up crucial game turning events . I realised this kid has it all physically . Mentally he`s not up to it .
2015 He looked like proving me wrong and I was stoked . But then it happened ...

Absolutely Hunt was on the up, and absolutely he was performing well against the Roosters. His big tackle to force a dropout was a big moment not just in the game but in Hunt's mindset. I'm hoping and expecting something similar against the Rabbitohs.

The reason the thread is a joke isn't because of the differences in opinion. It's because the "Hunt Sucks" brigade had degenerated to the point where some people literally bought in to the idea that "Hunt has put the cue in the rack". That he's not trying. That's this thread's title. That's the joke.
As far as I have seen, only the OP has said that, and I disagreed with it.

Funny how that gets transformed in the "Hunt Sucks" brigade... from a member of the "AEFH" brigade.

"Any Excuse" goes both ways. We call ourselves "BH4PM" by the way.

The situation is very clear to me.

Bennett should give Hunt the next three games and make his assessment then and there. Depending on how Hunt plays, Bennett can either keep him on for the rest of the season or start fresh with a new halves combination in lieu of the Knights game coming off the bye/origin.

That's the ideal situation, who knows whether it will pan out that way with injuries and all the weird turns a Rugby League season can take.

There hasn't been a player under more pressure to perform than Ben Hunt. At least from the media and the Rugby League community at large.

I get the feeling that if Ben Hunt is fit, Bennett will stick with him till the end. I hope he does and I hope Hunt can deliver.

NRL ROUND 14 LATE MAIL — One of the biggest selection calls in Brisbane’s recent history looms with Ben Hunt facing a shock stint in reserve grade this weekend.

Broncos coach Wayne Bennett is set to put his money where his mouth is after declaring midweek that veteran recruit Benji Marshall was pressuring Hunt for the No. 7 jumper, with the 2014 Kangaroos utility running with the reserves in Thursday morning’s captain’s run.

After outplaying Hunt in last week’s clutch loss to the Roosters, Marshall is expected to move from an extended bench into the game-day 17 for Friday’s home clash with the Rabbitohs.

Good.

Woah, shocked it happened this quick.

Now the question is would it be better to bring Benji off the bench of Kodi? IMO Benji doesnt offer the same type of impact that Kodi does off the bench, however Kodi has been killing it in the HB roll.

This quote was the funniest though "
Hunt, the Dragons-bound $6 million man, will play for the Ipswich Jets against Norths this Saturday as the highest paid player in Intrust Super Cup history."

Best new heard on radio if true.. ben h7nt dropped.. about time

I just hope this isn't a false prophet. Yes we did win 5 games straight with Hunt out but we didn't beat anyone of real significance that could be considered premiership contenders in that time.

It's the right call. Benji doesn't deserve to get dropped after dominating Hunt last week, especially with his kicking (we turned the game around when Benji started to put in attacking kicks).

God damn. A Benji and Milf halves pairing. We could lose by 10 or win by 100 here. This has to be the craziest halves pairing ever put together.

I am excited for the spectacle

Where are the folks who think they know how Uncle Wayne`s mind now ?

If we really need his abilities, I'm sure there are 13 players on the field who can put up a shitty bomb, or kick it dead.
